Easy to book the room and book in. Member of staff at check-in was very welcoming and helpful. Room was well presented, clean, with well equipped kitchen and 2 fans (as no air conditioning). Room allocated was at the front so was a bit noisy ( windows had to be open as very hot when we visited)
I was really impressed with the standard of the room, as was my wife.
It was only a shame that we had to take out 14 year old son. ( Ha ha - Just kidding).
It was his Birthday treat to go to the world of Harry Potter Exhibit.
There was enough room for Three quite comfortably, with a well appointed kitchen (Tea Coffee Milk etc.)
There was quite a big TV in the room, but we didn't use it.
We sat around, chatting and playing Dominos until the wee hours.
The only issue we had ( if you can even call it an issue )
Because we arrived after 5:30, there was no one at the Le Grove Appt. Lobby.
However because it is in the same building as the Holiday Inn, and the keys were available to pick up there, which all worked out very well.
It is in the Holday Inn that you have a Breakfasr if you order one.
We stayed at the Le Grove Apartments for two nights earlier this week when we were visiting the Harry Potter Studio Tour. I’d specifically booked here as it came up when searching for accommodation near the attraction. It was perfect for this! It was literally one minute’s walk from Watford Junction Train Station and, from there, you just get on a shuttle bus to the Warner Bros. Studio which runs all day. The location also meant that it was super easy for us to get into London the next day.
The apartment itself was spotless, spacious and quite upmarket. There was a king size bed, a good sized TV, a neat little kitchen area and a decent shower.
My only criticisms are that the bed was a bit uncomfortable and the room was far too hot. They had provided little fans on each bedside table but these just didn’t do the trick. Aircon would’ve been better, although I do accept that a day over 20 degrees is a rarity in the UK!
Stayed here with my husband and baby. The room was unbearably warm especially for a young baby.
There was noone on reception and the mobile device in the room proved no use especially when we needed to contact someone to clarify if the fire alarm that went off for a short period warrantied leaving the building.
The building itself was convenient for our needs, quit and parking was very reasonable.
Future points to consider:
Providing at least a full roll of kitchen roll
Enough toilet roll to see you through your stay
Being able to have more than just one tea/coffee
Fixing or installing air conditioning
Ensuring that you are able to contact a representative of Le Grove Apartments any time of the day/night
Myself and my wife both have our birthdays in December 3 days apart so we decided on a trip to Watford/London for the occasion.
I picked the accommodation as well both like the space that an apartment gives you and also the location of Watford for the value of money compared to central London.
The Lea Grove is situated just 3 mins walk away from Watford Junction train station with it's easy access to London Euston this is a huge bonus and we took full advantage of this. It is also a part of the Holiday Inn at the same location and you can use all the facilities provided on site.
We would have given the accommodation a 5 but for the lack of a maid service. The room was superb and we would both stay at the property again.
