This reminds me of a boarding school or hostel, it’s actually short term letting up to 12 months although I booked through Expedia. The “hotel” forms several blocks, each having a security code downstairs and another upstairs. Then you have a corridor with several rooms and a shared kitchen. The rooms are small and basic, consisting of breeze block walls, a wardrobe and storage drawers. The colour of duvet and towels ghastly and the en-suite tiny. Wouldn’t recommend single women, couples or elderly to stay as doesn’t feel secure and no lifts. Car park full of maintenance vans which is the ideal place if you’re working away lots in a big group. To be fair the bed was comfortable, beautiful views and decent WiFi but for £37 per night ok. However I don’t have a budget for working away I just wanted something close to where I was the next morning, so although convenient not really my thing. Room could do with a deep clean.
Booked to stay for 1 night thank God as was going to a family party , from the start felt like I was in prisoner cell block h in the room , I wouldn't even attempt a shower n the bed when I sat on it I hit the slats underneath , needn't have bothered putting the mattress on , the duvet cover had mold on it, my partner slept all night for 45 min as the bed just crippled his back......37 pound or not I don't think it's worth that never ever again
We arrived around 7 pm ringing a Mobil number that was cellotaped on a window we were taken upstairs to a very disorganised sort of office where my husband paid for the room
We were then taken across a car park to another block of stairs we went up 2 dismal flights with the faint smell of urin in the air there were no carpets only vynal floor covering in the corridors
Didn't even look into the en suit walked out to be meet at the door by a madly drunk man trying to get in with the keypad lock what a terrible place some people might like an overnight stay as a one off but at my age 58 you need a bit of comfot and this is not comfort
Where do I start ! Car park had abandoned cars in it, shared kitchen was a disgrace used pans just left with left-over mouldy food and milk in the fridges, wi fi didn't work, tv socket held together by tape so unsafe, bathroom and bedroom flooded due to blocked drain, curtains hanging off and couldn't shut properly, whole room needed completely re-decorated !! Only stayed as nowhere else locally had a room free.
Positives: nice big bed and curtains that block out all light.
Negatives: the toilet flushed about once every 6 tries. The room legitimately looked like it had not been vacuumed in several weeks and so did the hallways. There was no hot water for showers.
I would normally never complain about a lack of hot water as many factors could contribute to that. However, in the room there were warning signs explaining that steam could set off the fire alarm and everyone would have to exit the building. When I went to take a shower, the water just wouldn’t get any warmer after a certain point no matter how far I turned it. Taking a cold shower was miserable.
