First off, I have to start by saying just how clean, warm and friendly this place is, considering the amount of people that were there, the same time as us, the place was literally spotless. The staff there were very friendly, helpful professional.
The amenities, like showers and toilets were a bit sparse and thin on the ground, and i would imagine the fact they were unisex could put some people off.
We stayed in a dorm room on the second floor, and although they make their money packing people in, the fact that there were beds for Thirty people in such a small room seemed a tad excessive to me. the bunks were three high, and the room between each was extremely cramped, making getting into a second or third tier a bit difficult, the fact that we were there for one night only made it bearable!

Upon arrival of the hostel, I was impressed with the decor of the place. I thought to myself, ok this isn't too bad! I waited for the rest of my group to arrive since Check In wasn't until 3 pm. Once we all had arrived, we got our room and we were in L2. For those of you who don't know, L2 is in the basement. The elevator was down and not operating and cleaning was not a priority in the L rooms whatsoever. It almost seemed like they ran out of places to put people and we got the shot end of the stick. The "showers" were god awful. Between the construction being done in the bathroom, one of the showers not working, and the water leaking from the shower along with the smell, I'd say it was pretty grotesque. I showered my first night there and almost slipped and fell because they don't seem to have the right plumbing for said area. If that's the case...then you guy probably should just say the shower room is out of service. The bathrooms over in the O Room areas smelled awful as well. They were a bit cleaner but not much considering that it seemed like a maintenance person hadn't been there for at least 2 weeks. I went to the front desk and explained the conditions the facilities were in and they insured me that they would send someone down to clean the areas. Lone behold, no one went down there and it was even WORSE. Long story short, don't stay here. Spend your money elsewhere because I don't think anyone could stay here for longer than 2 nights.

I booked the twin room last minute. The location was quite far from the center but the tube was not too far. I just got a bad vibe from the architecture and design but staff was friendly, room was okay. Downsides are that I couldn't get the wifi from the room, the breakfast was not included. Otherwise check-in and check-out was fast, in spite of an incident upon arrival. Huge communal areas. Room was clean.

I’ve stayed in many hostels and I know it’s not glamorous but this was experience was not good. First, they gave me a bed on the third floor but the elevator was broken and the reception is located on the basement level (-2). Secondly, they don’t provide any secure storage in the room so you have to store all of your luggage in the lockers on the basement level if it’s not with you. So I ended up lugging my heavy suitcase up and down five flights of stairs multiple times. Next, the Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the bedrooms. So anytime I wanted to use the Internet I had to sit in the lounge and I didn’t want to leave my stuff in a room with other people so I ended dragging my suitcase along or I’d leave it in the lockers. Also the fire alarm went off at 1 in the morning. And the bathrooms were always being cleaned at super inconvenient times. Overall I just wasn’t happy with them. Staff was pretty nice. It was cheap and available at the last minute. Cool building. But I wouldn’t stay here again.

Questions & answers about the rooms

Usually there's no power sockets in bathrooms, British are scared of electrocute them self. Well, that's what a British friend told me lol. Sometimes you might see a special socket for shaving machine but that's all. I have stayed in a 10-bed room and 33-bed room and I'm pretty sure that I didn't saw a power socket on the shared bathroom. I will suggest, once you arrive to the hostel, ask to the staff they are quite friendly and they may find the way to help you. (Fingers crossed)

The bathroom and showers are shared and you must pay a little xtra to have a towel. But the showers are clean and work very well.

Hi! Great that you've been back so many times over such a long period. Yes that's correct, the twin rooms are private rooms and the price is the same if it's for one or two people.
