Stayed here from a monday to friday what a lovely couple sue and martin were they both greeted us and made us tea and coffee and we had a chat. We dtayed in the twin room plenty of room ,lovely and clean hotel. shower was always hot beds were really comfortable . we could help ourselves to extra milk, sugar, coffee which was available down stairs where you signed in. Sue and martin would change your hot breakfast around to suit you which was really nice and very filling. We will be returning in the new year as its like home from home and very reasonably priced.thank you sue, martin
We booked this guest house whilst staying in Blackpool for my son's football tournament. Sue & Martin were the perfect hosts, so friendly and even helped carry our bags up to our room.
The room itself was all we could have hoped for. The bedroom and bathroom areas were both immaculate, shower worked fine and plenty of towels were provided.
We have visited Blackpool on few occasions, and this guest house was by far the most pleasant. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and will most certainly be back.
Thank you Martin & Sue for the lovely stay.
Nice clean rooms. Very comfy beds. Bathroom was a decent size and spotlessly clean. Cooked breakfast is mahoosive and lovely. Endless coffee and fresh juice. Welcoming couple, gave us tips and advice where to visit. Very friendly. Could see the sea from our room. Only 10-15 min walk to the centre of Blackpool. Well worth the money. Parking outside and free which is unusual for Blackpool. Definitely stay there again.
Booked this hotel as it had excellent review, however we were sadly disappointed.
The welcome was far from warm, we arrived a little later than planned at around 9pm, to be greeted by a rather grumpy landlord who told us "we didn't think anyone else was coming"! Great start!!!
The room, although clean, had a smell of stale cigarette smoke, we actually had to sleep with the window open despite it being freezing cold and raining outside.
Breakfast was good, although I would have preferred a little choice in what we were served, I understand it was advertised as a full English, however I would expect to be able to ask for it to be served without certain items (such as my husband has a particular dislike of baked beans). Also breakfast was served at a set time and we had to request it to be served earlier the day we checked out as we had to start work early!
Our room was on the second floor and the water pressure didn't seem to make it that far up, the toilet couldn't be flushed more than once every 10 minutes (not great for 2 people). The shower had no water pressure and basically dribbled, which was only made worse when anyone else in the building turned on a tap and the temperature varied everytime this happened!
The landlady was friendly, however I didn't feel I could properly relax and enjoy our stay after the welcome we had received and the room just didn't meet up to our expectations!
