As countless other reviewer's have mentioned, Fenella & Steve are amazing hosts!! Almost instantly after we showed up, we were treated like long lost family members. They were full of excellent suggestions regarding restaurants and sites to see, as well as helping us to plan our days to make the most of our time there. Each morning we were greeted with their friendly smiles and delicious breakfasts!! If we are ever lucky enough to return to the Isle of Man, we will be sure to stay at the Close Mooar Farm B&B!
Fenella and Steve welcomed us upon arrival like family and never stopped. Our room and their home were very comfortable and neat. The breakfasts were full English at its best. It was a delightful, relaxing stay which we’ll do again if we ever make it back to this amazing isle!
A delightful property nestling in the hills above Laxey, peace and quiet you will certainly be guaranteed ...
Beautifully clean, tidy, and well appointed, cosy and warm.
A handy laundry room is situated next door should you require.
The owner is very helpful and cannot do enough to ensure that guests enjoy their stay.
Highly recommend :-)
How fantastic is this couple! Booked for next year, don't know if we'll stay anywhere else now. Comfortable bed, spacious bedroom and bathroom, good shower. What more could you want, oh yes a bang on breakfast and thats Exactly what we got. Nothing is too much trouble for these two, we came away having made 2 lifelong friends. Roll on next year.
Myself and a group of friends stayed here overnight on a cycling trip to the Isle of Man. Arriving in the evening after a hard day's riding we were greeted by Fenella and Steve who were very welcoming. Our original plan to cycle back into the village was vetoed as we were all too tired! Steve happily offered to take us back into Laxey to pick up a takeaway and some beer which we did and spent a lovely evening in their beautiful home eating drinking and watching the athletics on TV.
Myself and my son shared the Loft room - 4 single beds with a bathroom (big shower with great water pressure!), TV and wifi. Very cosy with fabulous views from the door. Nicely decorated, clean and free bottled water. Everything looked brand new.
Breakfast next morning in the main house - cooked to order by our hosts in the big kitchen diner and conservatory. Great to be able to chat to Fenella and Steve about the island whilst they rustled up a tasty breakfast and supplied us with as much tea coffee and toast as we could manage!
Had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone.
