We stayed for a week in our own caravan on the ridges part of the campsite. You even get your caravan towed up for you by a tractor which was great for us!! The view from our caravan was amazing to wake up to every morning.
The toilet block was so clean and rarely got busy which was great, there’s plenty of room in the showers and a heated floor. It was great to have a family bathroom too but I would like to see a couple of hooks and a shelf within the shower cubicle but this didn’t make a huge difference just an observation.
We used the park a few time’s and the swimming pool which was bookable in hour blocks and allowed plenty of space within the pool.
The pebbles bar was great to sit outside and watch the sea with a coffee or wine! There’s a one way system in place and you check in and are given a table and order via the app which was easy enough. We didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food but we did have fish and chips takeaway (again ordered on the app) the portions were massive!
Staff were helpful and friendly and everything felt very safe and didn’t feel busy or crowded. Although our stay was slightly out of half term so not sure during school holidays what it would be like.
We will definitely return next year!
My Wife and I had the Pleasure of spending our 57th Wedding Anniversary at Ladram Bay, we were on the 2nd Row a 2 Bedroom Caravan with lovely sea views, Having been so many times before we knew what to expect, we were not disappointed, the Caravan was Spotlessly Clean, and fitted with everything to make it Home from Home, we had already booked a table for 2 at the Pebbles Restaurant by E-Mail for our Anniversary Meal, and as always it was First Class with Special "Happy Anniversary" Board and Very Attentive Staff.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom Budleigh Premier and loved the layout. Very spacious front room, nice kitchen and decent sized double bedroom. We initially were unsure where we would fit our travel cot for our one year old but realised the twin beds aren't actually fixed to the floor so we could jiggle things around and set up his cot in there.
We received a very warm welcome at reception and found staff to be helpful and polite throughout the stay.
The pool was great fun and managed well given the current covid situation.
The beach is absolutely beautiful and able to get food and drinks from nearby shack for a reasonable price.
Our pitch was at the end of the row, next to reception, launderette, toilets etc which although convenient and close to everything we felt quite exposed. A small parking area looked directly in to our van which wasn't ideal and it was fairly noisy with the comings and goings of people throughout the day and evening. This being said, it didn't ruin our stay. It was just a little annoying.
Heating wise, we found no matter how you set the thermostat, it was either roasting hot or off. This meant at night the temperature of the van was either freezing cold or so hot you felt sick (this being said, I've never come across a static home yet that has a reliable thermostat). This wouldn't be a problem in the warmer months I'm sure and now I know for next time to pack my slippers and extra blankets!
WiFi is expensive and doesn't work very well.
Only a few minor issues as listed above and we still loved our stay at Ladram (we are now booking another break next year!)
We didn't actually end up going off site as we had everything we neeed there but there are plenty of beautiful areas nearby if you fancy getting off site. As mentioned above, the staff really make this place and we really enjoyed our stay.
Stayed here in september for a weekend with my son and my parents and albeit a few mishaps to begin with you couldn't fault it. Arrived an hour earlier and was given out keys to G3 and was told all would be okay to enter if the sticker was intact on the door. We entered and was pleasantly surprised with how spacious it was and the upkeep of the van. Noticed a travel cot wasnt in the room so headed to reception and this was rectified within in minutes. Next issue was no heating again notified reception and an engineer attended and carried out the repair to ensure we had heating. Only fault with the van was the water temperature in the shower was insanely hot but this was easily fixed by turning the temperature down on the boiler. Facilities, restaurants and entertainment team couldn't be faulted. All in all a good break away and enjoyed by all
We have booked for next may so hopefully see you in 2021 😀
Just home from an excellent few days staying in a Glamping Pod. The pod was far more spacious than expected with a decent sized fridge, plenty of sockets, storage space and lights in every room. All the staff were brilliant but a special mention to Ozzie’s Allstars entertainment team they are a very talented, hard working friendly team, Emily’s voice is outstanding. The private bay is lovely with a shop selling food and drink, buying fish from she crab shack for dinner is a must too. Shower and toilet blocks are clean, shop has everything you need and more. All round great place to stay with lovely walks. Only two complaints- the Guinness was off and the cheese on our takeaway cheesey chips was not melted.
