I cannot think of one negative thing about this lovely small hotel. Our big room overlooking the park was wonderful with two extremely comfortable double beds and a huge walk-in shower. Breakfast was ample and delicious, using all local ingredients, the service and people so warm and pleasant. Every day we were told of local events we wouldn’t want to miss, recommendations for dinner, suggestions for things to see, a well marked map highlighting our destinations. Wifi worked well everywhere, but we especially enjoyed sitting in two rocking chairs with our iPads, by the open front window, drinking cappuccino. A delightful stay altogether!
I loved this place. It's not an overdone franchise hotel. In fact, it's pretty basic. No elevator. It's located in a quieter part of the city, just a short walk from the Museum of Popular Art. Our room had a balcony overlooking a park square. The decor of the place utilizes a lot of fun locally produced folk art, Dias de los Muertos skeletons, etc. and some antiques. The host, Leo, is fluent in French, Spanish and English. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The air conditioners are modern. The breakfast is very good and filling. The staff are very nice and helpful.
We just stayed here for 4 nights and it was wonderful. The room was good and the breakfast was brilliant. My husband was very unwell with a chest infection and they took great care of him - leaving me free to explore Merida. The staff are wonderful with excellent English. They took time to talk to me, book tours for me and make recommendations. Despite the sadness I felt that my husband couldn't enjoy our time I had a very pleasant few days. He felt comfortable in the room (he stayed in bed the whole time). Can't wait to come again when he is better! Thank you.
This hotel is wonderful. We had a room overlooking the park, it was spacious, clean, had great a/c, the beds are super comfy and it has a great hot shower. Breakfast is huge and delicious. The cafe area is beautiful and a relaxing space to have an afternoon beer. The staff are lovely, Leo went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay and Delicia was a goldmine of information and suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The hotel is well located and an easy walk to all the main areas.
If you plan to stay in Mérida then book here, we’re so glad that we did.
The hotel looks very cute on the outside and on the inside it is very well decorated. Our room was simple but very clean and fresh and equipped with everything you need. The two girls that formed the staff during our stay where very friendly and spoke perfect English. Downstairs you can relax and have a drink (they don’t serve alcohol) and have breakfast in the morning. A good place to stay in Merida!
