Stylish central atrium, a bit like a riad style. Large room, with two double beds, quite a dark room, overlooking the central atrium. Free wifi. Shower pretty much a trickle. Fairly quiet. There is a small restaurant area for breakfast which has the usual mexican breakfast menu, perfectly adequate.
spacious rooms, a small swimming-pool in a beautiful inner garden; clean rooms ventilated through the bath-room window, main windows looking to a corridor; good breakfast, normal restaurant; helpful staff; situated on a main street.
Dreadful experience. On bookings they say they are a 5 star hotel with pool and poolside bar etc. When you arrive they are only 4 star. We were checking in when a big tour group arrived so the reception tried to push me aside. I had to force them to finish checking me in. Our room was dusty, not good with a baby! The shower produced a dribble of water and the water temperature didn't stay constant. There was no hair dryer as promised. Our room was opposite the lift so at 6am we had the tour groups leaving with bags, chatting loudly and so woke our baby and us. The rooms are all arranged round a central atrium so the sound from all floors and the reception is funnelled throughout the hotel. We went to swim in the pool to discover clouds of green slime growing in the pool and filth on top of the water. We were meant to stay 3 nights. We complained and were refunded for two nights so we could stay at a lovely boutique hotel nearby, el Paraiso, no compensation or apology was given for our complaints. Avoid if you can!
I stayed here just because we were in need of parking for our car, and we could not have been luckier! They were not full and we got a very good rate plus we did need to use our car since taxis are more easy to move around and not really expensive.
The room we got was on the ground floor at the very end of the hall, for us, not a problem at all, it was very quiet and the daylight hard to see so we could stay even until 10 am or later without even notice!
We had a room with a king size bed, nice flat TV (not that it was a big issue but appreciate it), a heater, living room area, very speacios and bathroom with all amenities including hair dryer.
It took a little bite of time to get hot water but once it came, it was not problem after that.
Actually it looks like they have reamodeling the rooms so it was not really bad at all, it was very comfortable.
Once I tried to use the hair dryer and it takes the power out of the room, call front desk and somebody from maintenance came right after and fix the problem, which was a breaker.
Every time I need or call for either extra pillows or a problem with hot water I receive a prompt response.
The location is just one block from the Cathedral, so it was very centric and we enjoy walking around, not very used to the cold weather, well, at least for us, but we enjoy it.
I will recommend and it and definetely come back again.
We arrived expecting at least a clean room, but instead we were assigned to a room with a missing bulb and no drawers. Amenities such as shampoo or soap are not included, even the towels were missing.
Also, there is a pool but you can't use it unless the swimming lessons are over.
Food is served cold and the only thing good at breakfast was the coffee.
Not worth the money.
