This accommodation boasts a 5 star rating which is far from accurate. Pros: Great location, modern design, excellent staff. Fairly quiet atmosphere.
Cons: Portable air con in the suite is overbearingly loud. The laundry is ridiculously over priced. There are far too few electric outlets in the room especially near the desk. The atmosphere is lacking an inviting, comfortable feeling. Location although accessible, is in between adjacent buildings, no views or ambience. No hot water kettle in the room everything must be ordered and delivered for exorbitant prices.
The city is very crowded, so this establishment is out of the way in a safe area.
I'd like to point out that this is a unique property but certainly far from exceptional.
The hotel is very nice and very clean. It is located near shopping, bars, restaurants and reforma but yet very quiet at night. It is also close to Hamburgo metro station. The lobby is very nice and modern. The staff are all very helpful. I got a welcome drink when i checked in and little treat every afternoon. The tv has one English channel. The room is very spacious and clean. The restaurants above and on the main lobby are very good. The price is very reasonable. There is a 24 hours person in the front desk but they should warn clients that they close the big door at night. I got scared when i came back late from the bar and thought i was locked out. Overall happy with the experience and will definitely come back again.
Stayed here for work mixed with some time off. This is a stunning hotel, with public areas so beautifully designed that it will make you wanna stay out of the room. Fells very private and quit with friendly staff, especially reception and concierge. Located around the corner and just steps away from the Reforma 222 shopping mall and Hamburgo station . (The tourist bus departs from the other side of the mall.) I got a large suit at the ground floor which was very spacious. Designed a bit weird with a wall in the middle of the room dividing it to sitting space (which I didn’t use) and the bedroom and a specious (but not very inviting) sitting area outside. The one thing I’ll say about the room is that it had a portable air condition which is a bit noisy and heats up the bathroom in a way that it’s impossible to keep cosmetics and makeup on the counter because of the heat. No big thing, I just dragged a table from the living room for that. Also - very unstable internet connection. It went on and off constantly during the entire stay. The breakfast area on floor 5 is lovely with space outside on the roof. It’s a small breakfast, beautifully presented, with local and international breakfast dishes made to order. One night there was a party at the bar on the roof which you can hear all around the street and in the room but I didn’t particularly mind. It’s such a nice place. I think it was very empty during my stay and I felt like I was the only one there. I strongly recommend it as a great place to stay while in the city!
It is located close to a mall, the area seemed quite at night and I didn't have any issue to walk around at night. The service really stood out at this hotel but there are some structural flaws. The hotel is really sleek with a nice design, equipped with modern technology, yet the blinds do not make the room blind (see the picture) so it is hard to sleep at night if you are used to completely dark bedrooms. Also, I think the hotel didn't have the AC when it is built but they added later, as a result, you cannot complete close the balcony door if you use the AC( see the picture). The internet had some issues, very spotty and cannot connect easily but the concierge Arturo did his best to solve the issue but I have to admit that it took about 30 min of my time...If the service and genuine attitude wasn't there, I would have given a much lower rating but they were just nice and trying to resolve everything in favorable manner, so I would still give 4 stars, but I think the hotel needs to talk to their internet providers as it seems rather a common issue.
King Suite was well appointed with spacious entryway and living room. Balcony and floor to ceiling sliding glass door welcomed in natural light and there were black out shades for privacy. Turn down service was provided every night, which included various chocolates.
Bathroom was sleek with l'occitane products, fresh white towels and bathrobes. Shower was extremely large featuring rain shower, detachable shower head, and wooden bench.
All of our service experience was executed seamlessly. Arturo, Chief Concierge secured us dinner reservations, airport pick-up and drop-off, prior to the trip. Once we arrived he was there to greet us and show us around the hotel. He secured 4th row seats to the Friday night lucha libre match and had the tickets delivered to the hotel to save us time. All of the other staff who worked the front desk, bar or breakfast service were extremely attentive as well.
I would stay here again because the service, cleanliness and security of the hotel were well above my expectations.
