We stayed here overnight as part of a 2-day cycling trip (day 1 from Hualien City to here on highway 11 approx 60k, day 2 from here across the mountain to join highway 9 and then approx 70k back to Hualien City).
We struggled to find the Sea Princess B&B, later realising that it is because of a spelling mistake on Google maps - Sea Pricess. However, once we had found the B&B we were welcomed and shown to our room. The room was spacious and very clean with air conditioning. The bathroom was just across the hallway and also spacious, clean and had towels and toiletries.
That evening we turned left out the B&B and walked about 500m to Dongxing Yecai Beef Noodle. The food was delicious and very welcome after the long day cycling. We were also very happy with the full breakfast freshly cooked for us by the Sea Princess B&B before we set off the following morning. Overall a great place to stop over and suited what we were looking for. It is not located in a town so not suitable if you don't have your own transport.
We spent here 1n on our way to Hualien. Not so friendly welcoming from the owner who didn’t help at all with our luggage. The place is rather clean but kind of oldish. Room was spacious, but with quite horrible decoration. Small and basic bathroom, with shower. Ok comfy bed (not great though) didn’t like at all the (tall) pillows. Good breakfast (Taiwanese eggy pancake, sausage, French fries and some mixed fruit but terrible orange juice, better the milk tea). Overall a rather overpriced place ($75/night) for what you get, especially when compared to the amazing B&B we stayed the night after in Hualien City. I wouldn’t really recommend it.
Although located on the main road, we slept with the windows open and were not particularly disturbed by traffic noise. The sound of waves crashing was soothing.
Apart from the wifi not working in our room, everything else was good. Breakfast was an eclectic mix of different tastes, beautifully served.
