A lovely place to stay while exploring the fantastic mountain roads within the Pyrenees. The owners made us feel welcome and were very helpful. Over a lovely homemade breakfast (cake, bread and jams) our host planned a route with us for our days adventure. In the evening our host made restaurant reservations which I would recommend trying. The accommodation was superb. If you needed any motivation to swim in the pool the view would keep you going lap after lap. Looking at the mountains made me want to stay by the pool. I only wish we had made more time in our trip to stay longer. The road up to the village was fantastic if you like a good mountain road and the village it’s self is very peaceful and beautiful. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a nice deep bath to soak in. To top it off Dextaire the Old English Sheep dog gave a wonderful welcome when ever he sore me. The real test is always would I come back and would I recommend it. That’s 2 yes’s from me.

Mayie was previously the owner of the Chateaux in Cette and now runs her home as a B&B. She was born to just make you feel relaxed and so welcome in her home. The rooms are clean and comfortable with stunning views of the Pyrenees and if you are lucky with the weather she has a heated swimming pool in her garden where you can just relax after a long drive and take in 180 degrees of mountains. It is difficult to find, as experienced by some Americans meeting up with some friends who were lost, but Mayie patiently waiting up for them until well after midnight. My tip for finding this unique place is coming from the Spanish border, you pass through the village of Urdos towards Bedous. About a mile on there is a small sign on the right and you go through a small tunnel up several hairpin bends, up and up until you reach the small Hamlet then turn right to the property. Because of an arrangement with the new Chateaux owner, Mayie can't do dinner, and the food at the Chateaux is not good, so best advice is eat before you arrive, or take a picnic with you. If you are a walker, she will make up delicious packed lunches for you.

Such a friendly and welcoming hotel. Wonderful hosts!

Beautiful scenery!

We arrived early but this wasn't a problem we left our luggage and sat round the pool till our room was ready. We had to leave early the next morning and as we couldn't make breakfast we were given fresh croissants to take with us. We would highly recommend this hotel.
