Stay here when exploring the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, only 20 minutes away and close to the Lake Manyara National Park. Our arrival to the lodge was enhanced with a Masai song performance, a short welcome briefing by management who asked about our dining preferences and a polite escort to our "villa". It was elegant, mosquito netting over the bed, spacious living room and bathroom with an outdoor shower. It conjured up the classic safari lodge imagery that Hemingway might have experienced! From the terrace we had a view of the valley, perfect for sunsets. We were always escorted to and from the main lodge building. Dining was stylish with delicious meals but one of the main attractions was the gorgeous pool - a welcome respite after a dusty game drive.
The attention to quality, safety and Covid protocol was incredible. Upon our departure we were asked to plant a tree, a wonderful touch which underscored their commitment to the environment.

The highlights of your experience at the Lodge clearly depict the blueprint and vision of our lodge and our Chain-Wellworth Collections. Thank you for accepting the honor to plant a tree at the lodge. Through Wellworth environmental initiative we have planted over 5,500 acacia trees which is now the habitat to the 143 different species which includes the beautiful lovebirds. We intend to continue with Wellworth Salama which is our Covid 19 control that has ensured that all our staff have also been vaccinated. Looking forward to see you again. Lodge Manager.

Wow!
We spent the final night of our safari at the lodge and it was amazing.
The room was huge with a king bed, sitting area, sliders that opened up to a furnished deck, dual sinks, a bathtub, and indoor and outdoor showers. Gorgeous!
They have an infinity pool that surrounds a sunken fire pit and sitting by the pool and watching the sun set over the mountains was worth the wait.
The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly and courteous. After dinner, we were driven back to our room in a golf cart, which was a nice touch. For breakfast we sat outside under the awning and enjoyed watching the birds.
We loved this lodge and arrived early enough in the afternoon to relax and enjoy our stay before flying home the next day. Perfect way to end our safari.

My husband and I had the best stay at Oldeani Mountain Lodge. The views and room exceeded our expectation and we could not of imagined better. We enjoyed resting In our room and by the amazing pool atmosphere.
The staff at Oldeani were amazing and always there for us if we needed anything. During our stay, our server, Lillian went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. Lillian ensured we had our wake up call, breakfast before safari, the best lunch while on safari, greeted us with cocktails after safari, dinner and post dinner cocktails. My husband and I were so happy to have met Lillian because not only was she a great employee but we made a great friend in Tanzania.
We cannot wait to visit Lillian and Oldeani Mountain Lodge again soon! Thank you Lillian and to the rest of the the Oldeani Mountain Lodge staff.

Nestled in the foothills near Ngorongoro lies a magical oasis. The vibrant, ubiquitous flora compliments the rustic yet contemporary lodge and dwellings. Though we did not enter, the pool was alluring. Antony catered to our every need. We wish we would’ve spent more time there and can’t wait to go back!
