Pleasant surprise this beautiful newly built Indian palace with various buildings, courtyards and a magnificent swimming pool. All very clean. Large rooms, excellent service and a base to visit the “ Tiger reserve”. Reception is basic and internet could still be improved but one feels like a Maharadjah here. Only peculiarity is the high price of the local Indian wine. Euro 10 per glass is charged which is more than a Tonic with imported gin! Excellent gift shop and massage.

This beautiful building makes for a really unique hotel. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable also with a spacious bathroom, complete with platform for Turkish bath should you so wish! Good AC and fans made for a good sleep. Some of the phone reception/IT is on the poor side but really in these surroundings, who cares. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained with two pools, very attractive gardens and all the public rooms were immaculate. The dining room is well worth paying attention to, food apart.

This is the palace of all palaces. It's new and clean. The old world bar has English saddles for bar stools. There are two outdoor pools, one bordered by elephant statues. The buffets were reliably very good and the breakfast was excellent. After every safari, we were greeted with cookies and chai. A folk dancer with musician wandered the courtyards. Service was exemplary. The rose garden is immaculate. I would come back in a heartbeat.

The structure is meant to evoke an Indian palace and it does. Our room was spacious, well-appointed, and thoughtfully decorated. I appreciated the pool and grounds, which were beautifully planted and kept. During our stay the hotel was readying for an opulent wedding, so the place was bustling with staff working on floral arrangements and lighting. I only wish I could have have seen the event itself, as when we packed up to leave we saw gaily painted elephants and many horses to be used in the celebrations. In any case we could not have stayed longer, as the wedding party had booked the entire hotel! The food could have been better, but the dining room was a grand room. The mirrored mosaic in the smaller part of the room made up for anything the food lacked.

Situated away from the town of Sawai Madhopur, this hotel gives you goosebumps when you get to look at it from miles away. It seems like a fort built in the sky. We stayed at Nahargarh in March end 2014, for 4 nights and had a mixed experience. You reach the hotel to be greeted by a kingly watchman and you walk up the red carpet to the regal paradise. It is a huge palace with almost all modern amenities. We were given two huge rooms on the second floor which were pretty good. They were palatial, clean and splendid. The bathrooms were extra big and awesome. The beds were pretty nice but all this goodness went in vain because of the bad bad food at Nahargarh and the untrained and rude staff at the hotel. We had a package with all meals included. All the meals were buffets and were frugal. The food quality was bad and the taste was pretty much unacceptable. To top it all, the staff was unconcerned, unapologetic and rude. The breakfasts were pretty much okay but lunch was horrible and dinner was literally the same as lunch because all that was left over from lunch was remade into some dish for dinner. The deserts were extra bad and it was kind of sad that they can't even serve good deserts. Once every two days was a barbecue open air buffet dinner which I must say was very nice, only problem being that the left over barbecued veggies were remade into something unwelcome for breakfast. The swimming pool and the spa and the bar were gorgeous and the gardens were a fun to sit in and spend your day. THERE WAS NO TV IN ANY ROOM which made your stay longer than 2 days a drag,,,,, It went boring as there are no TVs in your rooms.... Otherwise, if you can just ignore the bad food, then go for it......
