One night here more than enough and I changed hotels to the IORA.

Worst Experience. Would suggest not to book this even for your worst enemy. After travelling all seven sisters of North east last destination was Kaziranga and we chose Bonhabi Resort Kaziranga for our stay. Staff here are colder than the weather. No hospitality towards guest. Rooms here are in real bad condition. Being cottages in Forest nets are torn broken and insects enter the room, washrooms are of old times snails and water bodies enter from drain hole. We could have ignored all the amenities fault if the staff would have been co-operative and helpful.

I had stayed in Bon Habi resort for only 2 nights with my family . The rooms are large enough but had a very very basic decor . The bathrooms are very basic designed but not very cleaned i must stay.

They have very limited staff hence no room service is applicable , however they try & do the best to meet the expectations of the customers

Although the name is Bon Habi resort but it is no where near the definition of a resort as we expect the resorts to be slightly luxurious & comfortable to stay
But with the price they offer i guess it is enough as an expectation.

For Rs 3500 per room night you should not expect any luxury . ( this is a reason for me giving rating of 4 for this place ) .

Since it is near to the jungle to expect flies , ,mosquitoes , lizards etc.. & trust me no one can stop them due to the location

This is place is about 10 kms away from the elephant safari of Kaziranga & you need to make your own arrangements to reach there . I had requested Bon Habi people to get me the tickets for elephant safari , which they did but charged Rs 975 per ticket ( the original price was Rs 900 only) I guess the Rs 75 must have been there commission

I believe people can also buy the tickets directly from the authorities for elephant safari if they go the previous evening & thus save the commission to the agents

We stayed at Bon Habi for 2 nights when we went in March 2018 with the BNHS.
The independent cottages are comfortable and well appointed. They are a little distance from the restaurant & reception. In the night there is no light (carry your own torches) and if it rains just wait it out.
There is a a large bedroom, dressing room with enough storage space. Unfortunately the dressing room does not open into the bathroom, which is accessible from the room. The bathroom is spacious with plenty o hot water. Problem is the layout of the bathroom. Door opens into the shower portion which has a 12' high bund. You have to be careful you don't bang into it, plus the towel rack / shelf is right next to the door, & you may hit your head on it. Be aware of all this. The shower has good pressure with the result the whole bathroom gets wet. We had to ask for a mop & bathmat, which was readily and promptly supplied. There is green open space in front. A verandah at the rear to sit out in. It is a very good place to stay in. The problem is with the restaurant. Food was not served on time, delayed our departure to the game park. Breakfast was just puri bhaji and not good. Food was only daal rice roti & potatoe bhaji for all the meals. No salad, no curds but excessive salt.. There was an air of indifference about the place. Even after telling kitchen staff to put less salt it was just the same. The reception people were helpful & responsive to requests. Accommodation was good but food was terrible.

We stayed there for a destination wedding. Had a nice stay. Typical resort type in a natural setting. Had a cocktail reception outdoor with lots of lights. It was like a fairytail in the night. Food was good too with good starters. Now for the cons, rooms seems outdated needs upgrading. Hot water was flowing nicely for showers but did not provide clean up service daily. We had tea in the room and was there when we left two days later. Only one small soap for two days. Breakfast is ok but slow. If you are waiting for purees its a long time coming to resupply. Overall, had a enjoyable family gathering. Did not eat in the restaurant.
