It was one of those visits where we were left so impressed that we decided to come back again for a longer stay. We had our two rooms booked in the Talapoya Bungalow by directly calling Mr. Binoy, the manager.
Even though both rooms looks identical, there were minor differences in each room like presence of a bath tub. The resort has only 6 rooms and all of them are huge and air conditioned (which was never required, as it was very cold in the night and cool in the day). Everything was very clean and was having the typical colonial charm to it. All rooms has access to the lawn and the Veranda was filled comfortable wooden furnitures. The pool, gym and spa within the premises were closed due to covid regulations. The clubhouse is almost 1 km away and can be reached by walk or by taking the bicycles available in the resort.
Binoy also arranged a customised visit to the tea treatment and packeting centre, clubhouse, Cherakara bungalow, palm and flower gardens of Parisons and for some off road experience to view a beautiful sunset. He was so helpful and explained everything in detail.
Food in the resort was very homely and tasty and we had all three meals from the resort. Dinner and breakfast were provided as buffet.
If we are really looking for one, the only minor issue which we could think of was that the double bed was having two single cots which was not that comfortable if we end up sleeping in the middle.
Overall it was one of the best experiences that we had and we were so happy with the facilities in the resort and service of the staff.
The rooms are royal, food was excellent, staffs are the best. visited tea estate & tea factory, enjoyed nearby stream and sunset view from the top of a hill. Enjoyed the night camp fire. Only drawback, the pool was not functioning due to renovation.
Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Kerala! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager. we booked the cedar Paradise Suite. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had three great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience.
The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural bath on the end was a great way to end the stress.
The hotel staff took all Covid precautions extremely seriously and were well equipped to handle the needs of their guests. The food was excellent and the hospitality extended by the staff made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms were clean and comfortable, giving all of us the rest we needed. The ideal place to visit during this time.

All respect for the general manager Binoy who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality.
Parison's is a definite recommendation for those who enjoy simple things in life, with a generous dose of solitude and peace. The estate is spread over 4500acres with two bungalows for stay: Heritage and Boutique. They are a couple of kilometres from each other by road and not adjacent. The Heritage Bungalow is the larger one with larger rooms and a pool under renovation.
We stayed at the Boutique Bungalow which is more secluded and has a factory and the British era clubhouse nearby. We had a great stay with wonderful service from all the polite staff. I would suggest the Boutique Bungalow for a family or friends catching up vacay. If you can fill up the 4 rooms, you have the whole place to yourself! We also visited the factory to get a whiff of the world of tea. All in all,a great time!
During the much detailed research on safe places to travel this Corona season, we stumbled across Parisons’ plantation experiences. We stayed at the Thalapoya Bungalow in Mananthavady.
This place is heaven. Literally. Situated in the midst of pristine lush tea plantations, apart from the splendid scenic beauty the place has to offer; the colonial British bungalow on its own is a delight to the eyes. The vintage interiors are so amazingly beautiful.
The hospitality at this place is truly laudable. Special thanks to Binoy and Shaadh for going the extra mile and making this such a memorable experience for us. The team of staff are so courteous - Jisha, Nabeesa, and Balakrishnan truly made us feel at home. Another commendable thing was the scrumptious food (prepared by the chef, Subhash) it was authentic Malabar cuisine which was served with so much love and had such homely touch to it. We opted for patio dining most of the time, as we could enjoy the food with the spectacular view of the lush green tea estates.
The guided tour to the Parison’s tea factory was yet another highlight. The whole process of tea manufacturing was explained to us in detail which was quite insightful.
About 2kms away from the bungalow, they have a clubhouse which holds several British Colonial antiques, a billiards table, pool table, chess board, foosball, table tennis and other interesting recreational activities...
Everything about this trip was gratifying!
For a tea-lover like me who loves the mountains, the greenery and the rain (the weather was beyond perfect) this was totally worth it!!
A note to everyone who’s desperately craving for a break this crazy season - This is just the right place!
Definitely visiting again!!
