All in all the hotel is good. We expected worse as cheap hotels seem to be quite dirty in Thai. That one is good. BUT. Everyday you have the same breakfast (no choice) - 2 sausages, 2 eggs and 2 pcs of ham. If you do not eat something - the next morning your plate will be without it.
Half of the personnel speaks English (2 persons) and they are very friendly and kind. The rest do not speak and it is very hard to communicate. If you think you have agreed something with them and they confirm it - NO, this is far from reality.
Normally breakfast is from 6 to 10. But we have twice had no breakfast at 6 as it was not ready and the personnel was sleeping, but we had to leave 6:30. We even checked out without any personnel - just left our keys from bike and card from the room at lobby. And left without breakfast! No one cares! Awful!
Water pressure is so low that you can hardly take shower, and no hot water!
It is too loud traffic and construction outside even if you close all the windows. Impossible to sleep from 7am.
The way to the beach is too far and tough under the sun. You can take a bike from the hotel but it will be 250 bth per day for 125cc small bike - We proffered to take large 150cc not far from the hotel for 213 bth per day.
Concluding: Totally disappointed. But many thanks to those 2 women who do speak English!
The one thing I can say is the room itself at first glance seems lovely nice big bed ensuite etc. However our shower worked for about 1 minute and then we'd have no water for another 4 hours or so which is ridiculous. The gym pictures doesn't exist. The pool does exist but you see zero housekeepers or maids at any point in your stay so that gives me zero hope that it is ever cleaned. The location is also misleading when you book it gives the impression it's just off the beach it isn't at all it's a 20 minute walk to the beach and to any kind of bar or restaurant about 15. Taxis are majorly expensive with starting price being about 200 to another location in Kata. And then to patong it goes up to minimum 400 one way. Yes the price of the hotel is affordable but honestly I'd rather pay double just to not stay here.
The owner did refund us half of our trip as we were meant to stay for four days and she refunded us two as we left early which was fair of her.
The hotel itself was nice enough, decent sized room with balcony etc. The owner was helpful too. The location was showing differently on Booking.com which effected our stay slightly. Also the gym that seems to be pictured is extremely wrong. Instead of a fitness centre as they call it, it has a rusty bench press machine overlooking the road outside some rooms which is odd. Mostly not too bad and we did enjoy our time there. The pool is deep so that was good
Me and my boyfriend had booked this place for 5 nights, we liked it so much we booked it for longer..
The main guy Kesha at front desk couldn't be MORE helpful! Anything you asked him was never a problem he is very thoughtful, leaving sweets on front desk, lidos in the pool that he had paid himself for us to use whilst in swimming pool.. He left lighters all around with Ashtray's.. He even took us in his car to the shop which was very kind.
The breakfast is very reasonable with a few options..
The hotel 15-20 walk to kata beach..and a 15 minute scooter ride to the Big Buddha we can see from pooI.. If you give an hour notice you get a free ride to the beach .. Free towels to take to beach! Swimming pool is fantastic not busy at all with a jucuzzie,
House Keeping side of things.. Could be better!!! Although the hotel is clean and tidy as were the room they could clean everyday as it doesn't seem they have anything eles to do..room so far only been cleaned once and I had to ask.. This is house keeping responsibility!! Apart from that it really is a "Happy House":and we couldn't be more happier thanks to Kesha we will defiantly stay here again! :))
So regretted staying here the 5 nights. Worst housekeeping and service ever experienced. Cobwebs in our room. Fridge didnt keep anything cold. Our bed sheets were not changed at all the whole 5 nights, taking into account that this is meant to be a 3 star place? Thats pathetic housekeeping, even with the heat and sweating. Even asked front desk to organize, but get a cold rude response. The brochure they provide must be many years old, this place is so run down. Floor hardly ever cleaned. Bathroom always had a puddle of water, which also asked to be cleaned, got a poor response to that too. Front desk girl had no service skill at all, looks at you and gives disinterested look and puts head back to her mobile phone. Even heard other guests complain about her at breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, not worth a mention, poor selection to choose from. Will say EM the guy that cleans the tables of a morning very nice and friendly. Also guy that works the night front desk polite too. Also this place seems only to cater to Russian guests, so be aware. This place not worth staying here, certainly not 3 star. go elsewhere. Place is called happy house, someone should tell the grumpy day girl at the front desk. Seems she don't like tourists????
