After my two visits to your resort, I want to share my feedback as follows :-
1. There were NO bath towels kept in villa, we came to know when my family member went to shower.
There were no hand/face towels given either.
2. Tea tray -
There was no spoon kept in villa nor in executive room to use in making tea, without spoon how difficult it is to make tea, you can understand
I had highlighted this in my first trip itself but still the same thing happened again in our second trip which was very dissapointing to us. We had to ask for such basic thing. Further the tea bags are given loose and in villa most of them were already moist and couldn't be used.so we used our own brought tea tray.
3. When it rained and we had reached resort from outside, there was only one umbrella at resort so it took almost 30 minutes for us 4 members to reach our rooms due to only one umbrella.
4. As we travelled with our Aaji, so realised that your resort is not senior citizen/specially abled people friendly, my Aaji had a very tough time in reaching to rooms especially during rain time. Pls do something about it.
5. Your staff is courteous and they try to help in their best capacity especially Saurabh who gave his slippers to my aaji so she could walk while it was raining to reach her room but your amenities of villa and executive rooms has no difference which was dissapointing for us.
6. Since it's wooden structure, regular insect spray is required as we observed some crockraches and a very big spider which scared us a lot
Overall this second trip wasn't pleasant one,my whole purpose of sharing this genuine feedback to help you improve your amenities and overall service so your future guests may have a pleasant stay.
We stayed at Samant Beach Resort for four nights. The resort is on the beach, but sea view is possible only from the cottage closest to the beach. All the cottages are constructed with wooden planks. Cottage has a comfortable a room and a small veranda. We spent most of our day on the veranda, reading and people watching.
Staff is homely and responsive. They took care of us from 7 am till 11 pm. I had a stiff neck and one of the servers gave me a neck and back massage.
Food is excellent. Food is mainly coastal Konkani. Please don’t expect Paneer Tikka or Gobi Manchuria. Lunch and dinner is on Thali basis. We relished both vegetarian and fish thalis.
Alcohol is not available at the resort, but one can carry his own.
Overall, if you want a low key and relaxed holiday, this place is excellent.
The resort location is amazing. Rooms are comfortable, service is good and food is delicious. It is right on bhogwe beach which is a very clean and beautiful beach. They also arrange for dolphin watch trip and watersports. We really enjoyed our stay here and we definitely will go back. The food is priced slightly more than the orices at kudal or vengurla but given the location and overall experience we did not mind it. The Staff is friendly and cooperative. We were short of cash and realised the payment couldnot be done using credit/debit card. They were very helpful and told us we could transfer money online later. Thankful to them for trusting us.
1. The electric kettle in our room was not operational due to burnt plug. Unfortunately we realised it only in the morning. So for folks who need tea first thing in the morning would suggest check the previous night
2. There were mosquitoes in the open areas in the evening. Would suggest carrying some mosquito repellent
SBR is collection of 10-12 cabins located only steps away from an amazingly clean beach and tucked away from other commercial beaches of Malwan. This beach is mostly empty and great for family or couple activities. As an artist, I personally found this beach naturally more gifted than most other beaches I have visited in Goa. Staff and host are amazing and the food cooked is freshly cooked from the catch from the ocean.
I have created some of my art work (oil paintings) based on some of the stunning locations and keep coming back from Chicago to create more. This beach is naturally gifted.
The owner Suraj Samant was very friendly and informative and also took us on a tour for the new cabins they have build and can be rented from February.
Ocean activities: Ocean trips for dolphin viewing, surfing, water sports are available on Digambar's boat which comes and picks you from the beach outside your hotel room.
Food: We were served amazing fish curries and lobster during our stay.
The internet connection was very limited and can be improved upon.
We booked this resort directly with the owner. He asked for half the amount to be tfrd online in order for him to block the room and the rest to be wired on arrival. He did send us a text message with details on what was included in the tariff and about the place. The room included breakfast and we clearly asked him what would be served and he said that the choices mentioned in the message would be available and we could choose from those and he also said we could have eggs too for breakfast. When we reached the resort, I realised there are several wooden cabins and ours was house like thing which was a standalone one. On asking I learnt that 2 brothers own the place. I found it a lil weird as the rooms were different. For dinner, we had to place the order in the evening and let me tell you they really fleece you as they know that there is nowhere nearby to go to. A fish Thali costs 350 bucks..that's steep considering fish is so cheap and such a staple diet on the coast. The next morning I had to go all the way to one end of the beach as that place does not have any network and I called the owner to let him know that I have wired the rest of the money. Before that I also intimated the lady at the reception and she seemed a lil cheesed off and said I should have not sent the money to Mr.samant but should have given it at the reception. I found this really strange and then called mr. Samant and told him about the transfer and also that the breakfast thing isn't as communicated to us. On this, he denied even having such a conversation and when I told him how could he lie he said that I don't have any proof to prove otherwise.he then went on to say that he hasn't even received the second transfer I made and threatened me that he will not allow me to check out/ step out and also ridiculed me so bad. I felt so insulted as he was hinting that we are thieves. I told him that I have enough proof to show that the transfer was made. Pretty sad that people do business based on lies and they clearly have management/service issues. Mr.Samant clearly has no manners on how to speak to women. Beware if you are travelling with ladies, this man clearly doesn't know how to treat women or people in general!
