Quite central but on a quiet street with easy parking, easy check-in, smiling staff; clean room with small terrace, clean bathroom (shower) continental breakfast with warm croissants (!). Perfect for an overnight in São Bras.
This is a pretty simple hotel, but it has a nice terrace, good air conditioning, refrigerator in the room if you request one, parking (free, but not guaranteed) and it's two steps from the new square in town, so you can walk to cafes, shopping, and sights. The breakfast is really bad -- probably the worst we've had in years of traveling as the "fruit juices" are sugary juice drinks, the coffee is weak, there is very little fresh fruit (we saw the same oranges and apples day after day), and little choices in other areas. But the staff were very nice and, even though we couldn't speak Portuguese, were patient with our attempts and my very bad French. It's quite a drive to the beach from here though -- don't believe the quotes of 20 minutes. You'd have to fly down the roads and have a guaranteed parking space waiting for you. Allow 45 minutes at least.
We often stay just down the road from San Bras but our usual lodgings were full on our arrival night so we thought we would try Estalagem Sequeira. It was absolutely fine. Check in was friendly and without formalities. Our room was on the top floor with a little balcony and probably given to us because of its view over the roof tops but a little out of effective wi fi range. The ipad was fine but the laptop struggled. The continental breakfast is simple and the kitchen will cook for you. We liked the hotel's old fashioned simplicity and the price is completely fair for the facilities. Lots of parking available.
This is a town centre hotel. Spotlessly clean and room very comfortable. Buffet continental breakfast included. Perfectly acceptable for what we wanted which was a one night stop so we could eat at a local restaurant the Ysconderijo. An excellent combination.
I love this place, comfortable room, nice breakfast....
Went to see family that was over for my birthday and the staff are nice, clean room every day. If you are coming over to Portugal, I suggest this place to come and stay. Definitely going back again!
