What a wonderful destination experience. We booked on an arrangement over the internet for one night stay, on half board, including two day use of their Thermen, sauna land, Spa and Wellness. Our experience overtook our expectation, in one word.....Awesome. They feature large outdoor pools in salty warm waters pumped up out of a well 600 meters below the earth. So good for the health, body, soul and mind. All pools are featured with jet sprays. In the same area one has a wet hot steam bath and plenty of grass land with deck chairs. In the sauna land, one has to be unclothed, features many indoor and outdoor saunas, steam bathes, salty pool with jet sprays and plenty of resting areas in a beautiful surroundings. The room is nice, just renovated, good bed, bathroom with shower. Only observation please add more lights in the bathroom. One is offered bathrobes, good size towels and can walk direct from the room to the thermen. We had our dinner in their main dining room. The service is great and food is definitely on gourmet standard. Well prepared with the finest and freshest products. A real treat. We had lunch one of their restaurant in the sauna land. Likewise service and food on the highest standard. Breakfast (you can come in your bathrobe) with many fresh products, so delicious. WiFi is free, parking too. Overall a wonderful experience and recommended to any foodie and spa person.

I have stayed several time at Fontana Resort Bad Niuweschans. The pool area is nice and well maintained. Also sauna area is good with different saunas. Be aware, that you have to follow central European way of wearing at the sauna area (no swimming suite in sauna).

Restaurant at the hotel area is nice and food is tasty. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Also breakfast is good (serving start at 7 am).

Quiet and peacefull place to stay.

Great place to stay when business in the area. Location next to Autobahn makes it easy to arrive and leave, but still the area is without traffic noise. Spa area is very nice, room comfortable, breakfast good and staff friendly.

As we crossed the border on our way to Amsterdam looking for a place to sleep we found this small but very nice local spa hotel.
We reserved a room which included a wellnes package.
Coffe and tea welcomed us to a nice lobby.
We enjoyed the pools and the spa area.
Its seems to be a local spa and on Saturday and Sunday it was full but not crowded.
There is a small lake that you can stroll through and sit on the wooden chairs which are around the lake.
It was a gteat relaxing day which was very good onbour way home.

After 4 days hiking a 2 day break and rest in this peacefull place was just perfect. Oost Groningen is interesting. Hotel staff very friendly, wonderfull breakfast, free coffee and tea plus apples - newspapers in dutch and german daily. Good room. Good bed and bathroom very clean. lots of towels for Spa and sauna.
Distance to Spa is OK. Spa and Sauna good. Spa mineral bath holds a few young couples who do not come for medical purposes. Reuma and thyroid patients are recommended to take a bath. Max of 30 minutes.
The center is near the highway but this is not really noisy. Will be come back.
