We stayed at Clifton Sands for a week as we were looking to buy a car in Cairnes, for a trip through the outback. We first booked three days and then Grant kindly allowed us to book extra days as we needed them. He is a minefield of information and helped save us a lot of time with his useful no nonsense advise for travelling. Both he and Monika are very friendly pleasant people who do their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and homely. It is well equiped with everything you need and is suitable for long or short stays at a price that is impossible to beat. The bathroom even had washing and drying machines. The linen and towels were all of a high standard, and the pool great. The area is quiet and relaxing and yet within easy reach of amenities. It has wifi which was important to us and better still it was free!
All in all great value for money and each piece of advice and help from Grant was worth a thousand dollars ;-)

We initially booked for 5 nights, extended to 7, then to 10. Reason: It just felt so nice, homey and lovely. We stayed in a 1 bedroom fully self-contained apartment with ocean view, which is just a block away. Great to wake up with the sunset, have a walk and a swim at the beach or at the small but nice and refreshing pool. The staff (Monika) was very friendly, helpful and accommodating in every respect. Very relaxed atmosphere, reasonably priced and with shops (very close) and one restaurants (across the street). The Units are well equipped with pots, bowls, plates, microwave, oven, laundry etc. Some of the units have some older kitchen furniture and don’t have a modern look but it is absolutely clean (we haven’t seen a single cockroach in roughly 2 weeks). There is also free WiFi available and on-site parking (no additional costs). Will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

We have just had a long stay at Clifton Sands in Clifton Beach. We were sorry to leave, but one must go home at some stage.😂 We loved our unit, it had everything we needed on a holiday. Our bed was very comfortable and I loved the hot showers after a swim. I loved sitting out on the balcony in the evening listening to the waves and watching the birds. The beach is just a block away. We swam in the beach and also in the lovely pool at our units. Linda the Manager was very friendly and helpful and was a font of knowledge about the area. Clifton Sands had everything we needed and more. I would definitely stay there again.

This is an older property but relatively clean and well maintained. The manager, Linda is friendly and very attentive and helpful. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which we got online for a discounted rate. The kitchen was quite old and should probably be updated. The bench top was scorched and the drawers were very sticky and difficult to open and close, but it was adequate and had lots of dishes supplied. We were able to cook 5 of our 8 meals, which saved us a lot of money on eating out. There is a fabulous restaurant across the street with excellent food and service. very convenient!The shower curtain needed to be replaced and Linda promptly made a note of this. Pool was clean and refreshing, I went swimming every day. There was only A/C in the bedroom but with the door open and the bathroom door kept closed, it stayed adequately cool in the apartment. The bed was a bit firm for our liking and the apartment felt a bit cramped. There was no DVD in the apartment, but Linda supplied a cable so we could watch a movie I chose from their collection. Overall, good value for money, but I might stay in a premium apartment if I book again.

We stayed at Clifton Sands for a week in May and had an excellent time. We stayed in two different apartments and both were really clean and well equipped. They had literally everything you needed to cook full meals. The wi-fi in the communal area is really good and the grounds and pool are really clean, tidy and well looked after. The location is excellent - just 2 minutes from the beach and an easy walk or cycle into Palm Cove. The bus to Cairns also stops literally outside the apartment building. The manager Linda is really helpful - nothing was too much to ask - and she helped us organise a tour to the reef which was excellent value for money.
