Prior to our arrival at the hotel, I had emailed them twice with a couple of requests and neither email was responded to. Even Aqualand responded to my enquiry promptly confirming how to book! We arrived at the hotel late evening and no supper was offered or question if we needed anything providing. They apparently didn’t know what time we would arrive but if they’d responded to my proactive email maybe this could have been resolved. After dropping our bags in the room we went to get a drink at the bar. Literally 2mins past 11pm; we were refused an all inclusive drink even though I explained we’d just arrived. We had to go out to find a restaurant which we all didn’t mind but it did cost an additional €50. The room was clean, hairdryer didn’t work. My concern was the shower, the water went all over the floor into the main room, creating a slip hazard. One very small floor mat was provided (same one all week) but it didn’t stop the water at all. We were not given any fresh towels unless requested; and only once did they arrive.
I would never pay all inclusive at this hotel again. I chose this option so my teenager and adult son could eat when they liked and not be bothered with paying out during our stay. All inclusive drinks are literally just weak wine, cheap brandy, beer and ouzo. The coke was nice.juice was so sweet.
Snacks were not made available, you had to go in to ask. My son was left waiting for 20mins and came out with a small spring roll type snack, two slivers of cucumber and a slice of tomato. The exact same snack everyday upon request and made to feel like a nuisance for asking!! Food is so cheap to eat out, the cheaper option half board. 30c for large water.
Ice cream was only available between 3-6pm, just a scoop of ice cream which you’ll only ask for once! Ice creams are available at an additional cost. They should review this and certainly offer AI guests what they’ve paid for even if just a basic ice lolly it should be made available all day.
Coffee, tea and hot choc for all inclusive from a machine on the bar. The smallest cups which are only half filled.
The food was nice and fresh but some days a bit basic, our stomachs were bad all week.
The old man on an evening serving the meat was very friendly, he’d Insist you take more. young man cooking the eggs on a morning again very polite. Yannis was exceptionally welcoming, I could see all week how he was highly skilled in his customer service and happy, I was always greeted with a smile. Genuine customer service was shown and we felt he cared about the guests. The English lady in the restaurant was also highly skilled and her excellent customer service was evident.
The two female receptionists could certainly learn from both these employees and would benefit from applying soft skills to their hard approach. No empathy shown or that they even cared that we were paying guests. At times we felt a nuisance for asking anything.
The old man on an evening on reception was lovely and my children liked him; he would smile and joke with us when we returned after our evening out, usually with pizza as we were hungry. The pizza place in The elvis bar; very friendly, the guy would shake my son’s hand each time appreciating the business.
The all inclusive bar shuts at 11...!! Seriously ridiculous when on holiday. Everyone practically leaves. We would go over to the Elvis bar which is great fun watching the dancing and play pool, again having to pay €6 a drink when I’d paid a lot of money to go all inclusive.
On check out at 12 the receptionist literally couldn’t get the scissors out quick enough to cut off our all inclusive bands, it was very rude. I saw people on the coach to the airport still wearing AI bands so clearly not the same abrasive treatment shown at other hotels. We were given a lunch and evening food ticket and all day couldn’t get AI drinks. As we arrived late I would have expected the afternoon until we were collected to be honoured.we felt like intruders!! €5 per hour to keep our room; I decided I’d paid enough!!
people come in from other hotels to use the pool but no rush for sun beds which is perfect, always available. The location is lovely, sea beautiful, pool clean, nice chill out area, gardens maintained most days and pretty but the all inclusive and customer service from certain employees in my opinion made me feel disappointment. I would return due to the location but not as an all inclusive guest. I feel robbed of my additional cost paid and spent a lot of additional money. An expensive weeks holiday.
We stayed a week in this hotel located on the beach in Moraitika. It was recently renovated and the room was clean and confortable. But the food is terrible! The drinks are not included in half-board and only one or two courses are eatable. The breakfast is also poor. I do not reccomend this hotel if you have a sensitive digestion!
So I read the reviews and thought oh god! But everyone should always make there own mind up
Food was varied and plentiful, my daughter is fussy and always found something she liked
English waitress who was fantastic, very friendly and gave us lots of tips on where to go and how to get there
The hotel is directly on the beach
At the top of the road there is a bus stop that costs €2.40 to Corfu town
Corfu town is excellent and a must visit to the old town lots of shops and places to eat
We never struggled to get a sunbed around the pool but if you do it's only €2 to get one on the beach
Bad points but not that bad 😀
The rooms could do with updating
If you have a room overlooking the pool it's really noisy at night and it isn't necessarily your hotels entertainment
The all inclusive bar consisted of Wine Brandy Beer Fizzy drinks or Ouzo
These are obviously only small niggles and didn't spoil our holiday
arrived late night and after reading reviews checked room out . In the bathroom there was no shower head holder or curtain plus hairdryer was so close to shower . We asked if we could change rooms . We had to wait until morning to see if any were available. Settled down to sleep when I felt something crawling over my arm .Found a maggot needless to say had a pretty unsettled night . We did change rooms the next day . Much better nice sea view. The rooms are big and basic . Food OK . Waitresses and waiters friendly . Reception staff very helpful . Best thing the location absolutely brilliant. Sea shallow for along way out . Good beach bars . Town only a short walk . Just a short walk along the beach you can cross the river in a rowing boat for 1euro to another part of Moraitiki really lovely area . Hotel really needs some money sending on it .Such a same to let it go down hill any more.
Long story short: if you want to feel like someone stoled your money to stay in a bad place eating bad food and feeling disgusting smell, then this is for you! We were 7 friends and all our 4 rooms presented the following problems
1) for 13 days we could feel a terrible smell of garbage in reception and stairs and elevator, many flys were there
2)as soon we entered in the room here we are another bad smell of sewer, I discovered later it comes from the shower drain done without syphon (!!!) tips: wet paper towel to block the smell
3) guess what? The tird smell come out from the air conditioning, with filter clogged by dust never used againg, I care about my health!
4) the aisle was covered with carpet... For cleaning they don't use vacuum... They use broom! Watch picture for comparison
5) some room (my was one of it) has bathroom refurbished: who did the job,did it wrong way, the shower floor slope is wrong and you finish to flood not only the bathroom but the whole room with water if you don't put on the floor one more towel than the one dedicated to that job.
5) last but not least the food: only one word it is BAD. You can save only something of breakfast and that's it.
So bad we had 12 dinner on 12 outside the hotel spending nearly 300 unplanned euro (for each person) in our budget, and the funny thing is that you can't book the room saving the money of dinner. Incredible.
I can accept poor finish, but I want (and always had in my 20 and more years of travelling) cleanliness and hygene also in a 2 stars hotel, the place might be bad but if well kept it is ok for me. This wasn't the case. I really don't know where the 3 stars come from.
Last but not least they take you some euro/day if you want to use fridge and or safe. I didn't take the opportunity to make they stole me another money.
I give only a positive note, because of their awful food I discovered several good and cheap restaurant nearby (read my other review)
I wouldn't complain at all if I had paid some 40€/day but for what I pay... No comment.
Never never never again in this place and good luck if you are brave and book here.
