My husband and I stayed here for two nights (Sept 10th & 11th). The setting is amazing with the most beautiful views out to the grasslands of the park from the restaurant and terrace bar area. The food was good and the staff was very friendly. They even made popcorn for us to enjoy with our drinks on the terrace. That was a nice touch. We did have two different experiences with regards to rooms. The first night we were placed in the Buffalo Room which had 2 single beds and no mirror in the bathroom which was frustrating (we were supposed to be in a double room). The next morning we were moved to the Owl Room which had a comfortable double bed and a nice mirror in the bathroom area. Unfortunately we did run out of hot water and also ended up with cold showers. In spite of this, we still loved this lodge and would return again without hesitation. We were glad we stayed two nights even though we would have enjoyed the proper room on our first night.
This a tented camp with both self contained and non self contained room.
The view from the lodge is amazing, food is good, lodge is very clean with good service and professional staff.Kidepo National Park is a haven for bird watchers with over 400 species but can see over 100 species in two days. The scenery for photographers is breathtaking and lots of game is an icing on the cake.
Stayed 2 nights here.
Tent accomodation with outside en-suite... we were faced with a massive spider in the en-suite (i’m petrified of them) then hubby found one in the tent it ran under the bed apparently lol he never told me! Yikes!
The views are sensational, the food is basic but adequate certainly not the worst or the best we experienced at other lodges. Service was just ok, I don’t know why the bar is not in the dining room.
Bathroom was clean, hot water in shower and good water pressure. Bed comfortable & adequate power for charging gadgets. Tent has netting and does get hot. And it’s quite a hike uphill to get to the dining.
