I stayed here for a week until I got my bearings in McLeod Ganj and moved up to Upper Bhagsu. I thought the rooms were fine, nothing extraordinary but very clean and a good bathroom. Great location. Nice management. My only gripe was so many flies in the restaurant - I stopped eating there after the first two encounters. No wifi in room but wifi in communal area. A mixed bag of other guests so a nice relief from being around noisy young backpackers all the time. Laundry service was good. I was checked into the wrong room from the one I booked online when I first arrived but this was efficiently sorted out after. I'd recommend this for when one first arrives but I used it as a base to then find a more long term place to stay. I paid 1,400 rupees a night here for a deluxe room, much better than the cramped standard room I was wrongly put in when I first arrived (1,200 rupees).

During my stay in McLeod Ganj my friends and I did not feel the pressure to leave the hotel. Our room gave us a lovely view of the valley. The restaurant is very cosy and serves fantastic food overlooking the picturesque Dauladhar range. Green Hotel is very located and close to all the nice places to eat and visit. The staff is wonderful and the food served is delicious and clean. Highly recommended for those who really want to relax and read in a peaceful and affordable hotel.

I booked this hotel online and was a bit confused while driving there as it is located at a very densely populated part of the town. But to my surprise when I approached the reception I was greeted by a very warm hearted lady who immediately took care of my booking and check in was fast. The room not so great but adequate for leisure travelers but the View out from the PRIVATE BALCONY..!!! was something to die for. The eatery of the hotel provides sumptuous food...nothing fancy. Overall a good place for one nighters...

Nice and clean, good location, friendly staff, good organic restaurant, private bath, hot shower. Wi fi works only in the restaurant, no in-room wi fi. Patio has a very nice view. The restaurant is a local hub and is always busy with people who are not hotel guests.

Being in Mcleodganj near the main square means a lot. It gives you the luxury of being near the Dalai Lama temple, market, good restaurants, including Green café, taxi and auto association and roads going towards Dharamsala, Naddi, Dharamkot and Bhagsu all quiet convenient. And a major plus is the cost against the value that you get by staying here. We stayed in Green Hotel for 3 nights. Our room had a brilliant view, being on valley side. Room interiors were a bit old, but that is a negligible part as room was cleaned every day. It was a well ventilated and well lit room. Had a balcony where one can sit for hours admiring the green hills and valleys and the clouds passing time to time. The hotel crew including Dikyi, Chikyi is always on their toes to assist. They share good info on places to visit, routes, food etc. This hotel has been running succesfully for last 40 years. Their café serves authentic tibetan dishes and all major Indian and international cuisine. All in all we had a very good stay and looking forward to stay here again.
