Points of Interest

1. Welcome

This is the sign for the trailhead. it is in a quiet cul-de-sac at the end of the street. Limited day time parking is available

as soon as you get on the trail you will have wonderful veiews of the valley.

Continue straight and the trail will intersect with the Burbank motorway and you can return from Pomello where it meets the parking lot for the Claremont wilderness loop.

4. Pasture

Hard to see from this iphone photo, but there is a heard of about 12 deer in the shade.

5. Trees

On the first part of the trail there are many shade trees, as you get higher up the fewer shady spots.

You will start to see a major trail to the east. This is the Claremont Wilderness Loop, Also known as the Burbank Mtwy. 5.3 miles long, it does intersect with this trail

This is the intersection of Johnson Pasture Trail, Claremont Wilderness Loop (Burbank Mtwy) if you take the trail on the left it will lead you around the 5.3 mile loop. It will also intersect with many other trails.

10. Burbank

At the end of Johnson Pasture trail you will come to the intersection of Burbank Mtwy. It continues to climb for about another half mile, then levels off and continues around the loop.

The return to the trailhead. If you bring your dog, please grab a couple of doggiedoo bags and bring them back to this trashcan. Keep this trail nice and clean for all of us.
