World War II Copenhagen

Found this guide helpful

One of the great World War II resources in Copenhagen was the Museum of the Danish Resistance, which was lost in a fire in April 2013. But Modern History enthusiasts need not despair - there is a lot of war history still to be seen in and around Copenhagen and the collection was saved and will be rehoused in the near future. All of the sights on the list can be reached easily by public transport and many are free. The Royal Arsenal Tøjhusmuseet is a short walk from Nyhavn, Christiansborg Parliament and the Royal Library, and is a fantastic resource. Or head out to Hellerup station, 15 minutes on the S-train and visit Mindelunden Danish Resistance Cemetery and site of the German executions of Danish resistance fighters, with the splintered execution poles at the shooting range still a reminder of the recent past.

This is the church of the Anglican community, a lovely British gem right in the centre of Copenhagen. It is also en route on your walk to Kastellet and Østre Anlæg if you plan to follow the guide.

This is such an evocative place. See the glass bottles used by the German Occupation to mark the identity of each executed prisoner. Also the shooting range with the execution posts.
