Kaysee007's City Tips

  • In the south east of the main island, the town of Syracuse (and especially the peninsula of Ortigia) is a real gem.
  • If you're on a slighly longer break, DO visit the islands to the north: stay on the isle of Lipari for a few nights. or if you really want a very quiet time, even further out.
  • As I said, renting a car is the easiest way of getting around on the island. It is possible to get around by public transport, but a car will do the trick most efficiently.
