Landing in Sydney is an experience in itself. You will have a bird's eye view of our beautiful harbour, and our icons, the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Stay at one of our numerous hotels with a view. The Intercontinental in Sydney town, The Swiss Inn in Bondi Beach, etc. Start on the observation deck of Sydney Tower located at Centrepoint for sweeping views of the city. Then take a harbour cruise from Circular Quay, maybe to Manly, to view the affluent homes on this magnificent natural harbour. Grab a bite for lunch on the waterfront in Manly. Back at Circular Quay walk along the waterfront and take a Tour of the Opera House. Visit the Rocks area where the first settlement started. Aboriginal Art Galleries abound in the area. Climb to the top of the Harbour Bridge with BridgeClimb for the thrill of your life.. Give your feet a rest by riding the Sydney Explorer bus to explore the city - Circuit takes an hour. To visit famous Bondi Beach and scenic Eastern suburbs take the Bondi Explorer a sister service. Visit Taronga Zoo with a view, and meet the natives - kangaroos, koalas and cockatoos. For shopping visit Queen Victoria Building voted Sydney's favourite building - for its history, culture, architecture and style. In the evening, dine at Darling Harbour, an easy walk from the city or a shortride on the monorail, at one of the many cafes or restaurants. Then take a show at Star City or watch the gambling at the Casino. You can also dine al fresco in our many restaurants on the parks or the foreshores of the Harbour. If time, take a tour of the Blue Mountains, a spectacular World Heritage region an hour and a half out of Sydney. Enjoy Sydney, a city that never ceases to amaze me. from Bestfriends.
