Several hectares of rare and exotic plants and trees with elegant architectural touches and sculpture are found here. One of the city's most popular attractions is the ancient Kali Temple. The multi-limbed goddess is richly dressed in a glittering red and gold gown and displayed against an ornate gold backdrop. As it is an active temple, visitors should be reverent at all times.

The Qila Mubarak Complex is ten acres in the centre of the city containing the main palace and guesthouses once used by the royal family. Bazaars ring the complex selling hand-crafted jeweled ornaments and locally woven fabrics. The Sheesh Mahal, or Palace of Mirrors, houses a large number of fine frescoes and is the home of the famous Lakshman Jhula bridge across the lake. All in all, Patiala flights bring visitors to an extraordinary tourist's destination.

Every outfit is accented with a locally made paranda (tassel for braiding hair).
