Kodaikanal does not have its own airport, but you can find cheap flights to Kodaikanal through nearby cities and then come into Kodaikanal via train, bus or taxi. Madurai is the closest airport at around 137 kilometres away. You can also find cheap flights to Coimbatore at 177 kilometres and Trichy at 193 kilometres. Regular buses are available from these three cities. You can also hire a taxi or rent a car. The drive to Kodaikanal from Madurai is a little over three hours. You can also take a train to Palani station which is approximately 64 kilometres north of Kodaikanal or Dindigul station which is about 97 kilometres east. From here you can find buses or taxis. Driving in from Dindigul takes around two hours.
