Many major airlines, including Air India, Air Arabia and Qatar Airways offer cheap flights to Panaji. These Panaji flights only get you near Panaji because the city doesn't have its own airport. Panaji is served by the Goa International Airport (code GOI). This airport, also known as Dabolim Airport, is about 30 kilometres from Panaji. After your Punaji flight lands, you can reach the city by metro rail, city bus or taxi service. If you're only travelling with a backpack, the motorcycle taxis are a bargain and they provide a wild ride into the city. Panaji is also accessible by rail.

The best place to start exploring Panaji is at its heart -- the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church. Originally built in 1541, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church is a magnificent baroque structure celebrating the city's Portuguese heritage. Also striking is the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which is the oldest church in Panaji and it's free to the public (guided tours for a fee are available and recommended). From there, you can explore India's diversity at the Adilshahi Palace, the Jama Masjid mosque and the Chapel of St. Sebastian. Take the Heritage Walk to sample the historic treasures on the side streets of the city. Another worthwhile history walk is the Latin Quarter, or Fountainhas, with its quaint architecture and quiet neighbourhoods.

Inside the picturesque Goa Marriott Resort, this casino is more family oriented. There is still plenty of gaming and adult-oriented entertainment, but there are also activities for the children.
