Arriving at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

You can find many cheap flights to Hyderabad from domestic and international locations. Hyderbad flights arrive at the modern Hyderabad airport, which has excellent connectivity. The airport is located about 24 kilometres outside the city, replacing the old international airport in Begumpet in 2008. It is said to have some of the best airport services and facilities, and is one of the busiest airports in the country. You can find food courts, bookstores and duty free shopping inside the airport. If you are at the airport for a stop-over and don't want to enter the city, you can find five star hotels nearby. If you have any other requirements, ask around. The staff are very friendly and speak excellent English.

Getting around Hyderabad

After long, cheap flights to Hyderabad, sit back and relax as one of the airport-run air-conditioned buses takes you into the city. A more expensive option would be the air-conditioned taxis waiting right outside the terminal building. Within the city there are plenty of buses and auto rickshaws available to catch after your Hyderabad flights. The buses are the cheapest form of transportation but they can get extremely crowded and it is likely that you will have to stand the whole time. Auto rickshaws are more comfortable on the other hand, but the drivers are notorious for ignoring the metered fare and charging extra. If you want to change it up, there are always air-conditioned taxis just a cell phone call away.
