Arriving at Dubai

Cheap flights to Dubai make it even easier to see this world-class city in person any time of year. Dubai is a beautiful, modern destination about five hours from Europe and only three hours from the Middle East. With cheap flights to Dubai available online, this exquisite destination is just a few clicks away.

The main airport is Dubai International Airport, though you may also arrive on your Dubai flight through Sharjah International Airport. Dubai International Airport is the largest in the Middle East. Dubai flights take you nearly into the heart of the city. From there, you can use the metro to get to your desired destinations, however, it is easy and convenient to rent a car or use a taxi as well.

Getting Around Dubai

To get around Dubai, plan to use public transportation. The metro is the fastest method of moving through the city, and it's also the most affordable.

One other affordable method of transportation is the bus. Most public buses are clean, but bus routes don't always go directly to the main tourist attractions. To find the main bus station, visit the Al Ghubaiba Bus Station in Bur Dubai and Gold Souq Market. If you want to see the city from a different perspective, try travelling by boat. The Dubai Creek offers ferry services throughout the area.

Main Attractions in Dubai

The hardest part about visiting Dubai is deciding which of the various unique attractions to visit in your short trip. History buffs may want to visit the Dubai Museum to learn about the history of the country and the Emirate itself. You may also wish to visit Bastakiya District, one of the only areas where Old Dubai is present in terms of the traditional buildings and art galleries. Visit the Jumeirah Mosque, the largest in the city, even if just to see the architecture.

In the more modern area of the city, there's nothing quite as amazing as Burj Khalifa, the world's largest tower. It boasts 160 floors with an observation deck at the 124th floor. Located nearby is the Dubai Fountain, all 275 metres of it,  shoots up 150 metres into the air. You can also visit the beaches, fish in the sea, explore the natural outdoors and check out the parks.

Shopping, Dining and Night Life in Dubai

When it comes to markets, the Gold Souk and Spice Souk are the two main options. These historical markets are a part of the origins of the city itself. You'll find the craftsmanship of items here to be simply amazing. For a more modern option, visit the Dubai Mall, the largest in the city.

Restaurants are plentiful throughout the city. You will find local options, including street vendors, offering delicious Shawarmas to eat.

Dubai has become incredibly modern and so has the city's night life. Enjoy the city after the sun goes down at numerous bars and nightclubs in the area's hotels and resorts. With cheap tickets to Dubai readily available, this city offers something for all, both day and night.
