Getting Around Phuket Town

Phuket Town is a Pacific paradise with plenty of public transportation options. While in Phuket, you'll more than likely rely on one of the many different types of taxi services within the city to take you where you need to go. Hop on one of the songathew buses for the most efficient way around town. These ugly-looking buses run a circular loop from Phuket Town to the beach area. Just request your stop on the route and the driver will drop you off. Travellers can also rent their own motorbike or car to get around. There are also hundreds of regular-sized taxicabs available and if you're feeling adventurous, seek out one of the smaller motorbike taxis for a hair-raising ride to your destination.
