Hi, there are 11 root bridges in manipur Shillong and most of them requires lot of hiking not advised for people with less stamina. But you can try Mawlynnong which is cleanest village and is situated near Bangladesh border. It has also got living root bridge which can be reached by 15 minites walk. It is 180 kms from Shillong. There is a very easy living root bridge near a village Umkar n Unmoi. There are local guides who can make it very easy to travel in Sohra or Cherapunji. If you reach Sohra ask for Travellers Cottege, they hv very talented local boys who are very helpful in every matter.
