Manoa Valley Inn Questions & Answers

Oslo, Norway

Thank you for a very good review. You write that the Manoa Valley Inn is not far from from Honolulu's attractions, would that be by car or walking? My partner and I don't have driving license, and would have to walk, or take a taxi :-)

Warm regards,

Hanica, Oslo

Thank you everyone for your helpful comments! I'm the incoming guest services manager at Manoa Valley Inn, so I appreciate your input during the time I was not available.

Aloha, Hanica! As the other guests have suggested, the property is quite close to Waikiki and Diamond Head, but not close enough to walk.

As of 2018, TheBus has gotten more convenient for travelers, with an all-day fare that'll be unlimited for 24 hours, and Uber/Lyft ride-sharing services are pretty convenient and cost effective. From our location it would be less than $20 for an Uber ride to Waikiki, especially during non-peak hours.

Thank you for your questions and comments, we hope you enjoy your stay in Honolulu and we're always open if you need accommodations. No resort fee, free parking, full breakfast and a unique and peaceful local-flavor experience is guaranteed. :)

Hi Hanica

I was talking about driving. Saying that I googled Wakiki and it is a 35 minute walk although it looks like everyone uses the bus if they do not drive. It was about $25 by cab to Wakiki.

Cheers

There is a bus stop around the block. The bus system on Oahu is excellent. You can go all over the island. The people at Manoa Valley Inn are very helpful.

Hi Hanica,

Thanks for your question! It would be a bit of a walk (maybe more than 40 mins to an hour but not really recommended) to the main Waikiki area, but we took uber and it was only about a $10 uber ride. If you are doing a tour or something (I highly recommend I love Hawaii tours), they will pick you up at the B&B. We were only there a couple of days so the distance from the beach was not an issue, plus I found the cost of the B&B to be lower than most hotels of similar quality so it made up for the cost of the uber rides. There is also a local bus from what I understand that goes by the B&B!

Enjoy Hawaii and let me know if you have any other questions!
