Thorn's Showcase Lounge Questions & Answers

Bel Air, Maryland

We were just there, one of my favorite meals were of course your Halibut Butts. I can't find any receive for anything close. Any suggestions, we shipped back our catch, I know it won't be the same but want to try to make something similar.

Any suggestions. We loved your place

I'm not sure about the recipe for the butts. If you like lobster, I have a poor man's lobster recipe.

4 c. Water

1/4 c sugar

1/8 c salt

Boil, drop 1 inch size chunks of halibut in water.

Remove as soon as it floats, not long at all.

Serve with melted butter.

Absolutely delicious

Barb, I wish I could help with that. I'm not a cook at all, and I generally don't like to eat fish. I'm glad you liked Thorn's and the butts. What did you think of the bottle collection? Wild!

Barb, I don't know if you'll find this useful but we just returned with lots of halibut and in my recipe research I found cheese as a real topping on halibut and it's delicious! Parm with mayo, garlic on the last two minutes of broiling. Lots of variations.
