I am looking for a place like this that my mom and I could stay close to so we can walk there. Are there cabins nearby? I stayed at one once with a fireplace and there was a creek outside. I am hoping for something where we can have everything we need in one place. Places to eat, shop, etc close by so we can enjoy a few days. Are pets allowed in any of the places to stay? Thanks for any help in answering my questions!
We stayed in a Country Inn not far away, definitely walking distance. We were about to walk to just about everything
There are various types of rentals all over Gatlinburg. most of the cabins are a little further away. i would recommend one on one of the trolley routes which you can easily find if you Google Gatlinburg trolley. Then you can use one of the many reliable cabin rental companies in Gatlinburg. Many now do allow pets. Just tell them your needs and they will help you find a good rental. Have fun.
Jack Huff's is located near the rear entrance of The Village Shops on Cherokee Orchard Road. They do not allow pets. Check out the LeConte Suite if you like extra room.
It is an older hotel but well maintained.
A few only allow pets to be welcomed, but there are a lot of amazing vacation rentals and cabins locally by the shops. Usually everything is in a less than 10 mile radius. If I’m not mistaking
A few allow pets and there are a couple that are close to where you want to be.
quality inn has a fire place not directly on the creek but the hotel in front of it is on it he creek, it is right as u come into Gatlinburg from pigeon forge across the street from one of the mt
coasters, great price, clean, about 3/4 a mile the prime of the strip but there is a trolley stop right out front , only .50 cents per person a ride or you can get a pass foe $2 and ride at any time all day.
I did not see any lodging near by. There is a nice Hotel on the creek not to far away but not right in downtown. Its all spread out and hotels are further away that shops & restaurants. I am guessing you could take the trolley that's offered to stop at different places downtown once your able to get on it. Traffic is slow thru the area as it only a 2 lane street so a trolley is money saving and easy to use. Am sure their would be a pet friendly hotel. Call where you want to stay at and ask. I did see dogs downtown but it could have been visitors traveling thru the area.
The Village Shops are just one of many group of shops located in the City of Gatlinburg where you can find all sorts of accommodations to stay in while you visit this wonderful city filled to the brim with fabulous restaurants and shopping. If you want to stay very close to The Village then just a half block away and off of the very busy and noisy Parkway is Johnson's Inn and smaller owned motel/condo where you will be able to easily walk to The Village and the mail street called The Parkway where trolleys are available to take you everywhere that you could possibly want to go in this city.
We always enjoy staying a bit off of the noisy Parkway where sleeping is a bit more restful but we can walk down to the hustle and bustle of the night lights and action on the Parkway whenever we want to and then return to the quietness of our motel for some naps and to refresh before heading out again. If you prefer to stay right on the main street, then your choices are amazingly abundant from big high rise chain motels to family owned motels. Check out the Gatlinburg Convention & Visitor Bureau online and you will see so many suggestions for motels, restaurants and other things to do.
Again, we have stayed in Gatlinburg for years and always have found the family owned Johnson's Inn with a wide variety of motel or condo room choice and reasonable prices for a resort city. It is creekside. Located at traffic light #6 right in the center of the town. It is right across from the aquarium, The Village shops, the main trolley station, rooms with balconies and fireplaces, free wifi. Jacuzzi and suite rooms are also available here. Have fun on your trip!!!
Not aware of any cabins very close to the Village, but we usually stay at the Edgewater Hotel which isn't a very far walk. Maybe ten minutes. Rooms overlook a beautiful creek and have a gas fireplace. Location is excellent for accessing the strip.
Cabins are a little farther out. We stay at Hilton Garden Inn in Gatlinburg. It is on River Road and there is a creek across the street. It is in walking distance of everything in downtown. You can get units with balconies and fireplaces.
Mistake, hope you find what you are looking for.
