The meet location is a well lit parking lot (with restrooms) midway between downtown Moab and the entrance to Arches National Park. The meet time depends on sunset & weather (on my Oct trip it was 7:30PM). Reservations are indeed required and fees apply (~$40/pp cash). The practical size limit for groups is 8-10 participants; however, the website states that groups of 2-40 are accompanied. From the meet location it takes about 15-20 min to drive (in your own car) to the viewing location. The program lasts approximately 90 min. Individual viewing time at the telescope varies, but it does not feel “rushed.” Recommend reviewing the FAQs on the official website for additional details.

Book via the website. Works well for groups of around 6 to 8 people. You need to phone and speak to them if you party is large.

You need a car to get to the dark sky spot.

Meet up in a car park in Moab and then drive to the viewing area.

Costs about $40 per head .

The whole viewing time is about am hour and a half if I remember correctly.

You need clear skies of course to see.

The simple answer is.. Yes! Start time depended on time of year, I think we met around 6pm. This site should give you all the info.

Search for Redrock astronomy and the web site with all info should come up under Moab-astronomy
