Hello - what time of day do you recommend the best experience for this tour - thank you and can't wait!
Hello, Its hard to say for sure but typically there is less wind in the morning. That said, if there is going to be fog that also tends to be more prevalent in the morning. I would recommend choosing the time of day that is best for you and we can always reschedule you once you get closer to the day of the trip (and have a better feel for the weather forecast).
Oh gosh, we went after lunch. It was super sunny but you can stay under the cover on the Boat. I had heard the water can be rougher early morning and late afternoon so avoided that. They did ask upon arrival who needed to wear something for motion sickness and most of the boat were interested. No one on the Boat did get sea sick. It was fun!
We took the 1pm tour in late September. Bring jacket for the wind chill and wipes to clean hands after handling lobsters.
Be aware that you must take care of your own shopping bags. It might be wiser to take the first tour to allow first off the ship and then shop afterwards.
We did the afternoon tour in October and the only thing I would do differently has already been mentioned-it's a LOT colder on the water than on land so I should have worn more layers. My teeth were chattering when we got back, but it's my own fault! If you get really really chilled, a lot of the local eateries have nice warm (spiked!) cider and when we were there a lot of shops were having really good end of season sales & we got some nice hoodies at great prices!
We did this great tour at around 1pm.
