We would like to book a 3-hour horseback ride that ends at sunset in Monument Valley September 7th, 8th, or 9th.
I forgot to mention - it was $125 per person for a 3-hour horseback ride in August, 2016.
Sacred Monument Tours was a good choice for horseback. You will be quite happy with them. I booked with them via e-mail and telephone. On the day of the ride, we met them in the parking lot of the Monument Valley Visitor Center and then were quickly set-up and on horseback. I had no problems with them whatsoever....everything went smoothly, and they had out booking correct.
Well, she could do a drive of the Valley, but I suspect you will want to do that together. The Visitor Center at Monument Valley might keep her occupied for an hour or two if she is interested in the gift shop or the mini-museum. She could take a short drive to Gouldings to have lunch/coffee, check out their gift shop, and their mini-museum. She might also enjoy the scenic drive to Mexican Hat (20-25 minutes away). There are Navajo jewelery vendors at the side of the road along the way. Anyhow, those are the only things I can think of. We only spent one full day in MV (we arrived the night before and left the next day) so I can't say I am on expert on what else there is to do, but my sense was that there wasn't much else really.
