We stayed at Goulding’s lodge. I thought that they had some sort of a campground. I am sure that there are other campgrounds near MV

The area is very remote. I did not see campgrounds, but I also was not looking. You might want to call Goudling's Lodge and ask someone there. They have a limited number of rooms to rent. It is a poplar place for tourists; with its own museum of history and movies.

Cottonwood Campground is at Canyon De Chelly, not Monument Valley. Probably an hour away, but a reasonable drive if you don't want to move.

I would stay at Gouldings Campground, it is the quietest location. There is a KOA but it is just on the side of the highway, a wide open dirt lot. The View campground is also in a busy location but it will have nice views of the rocks

Yes, both The View and Goulding’s have campgrounds.

As mentioned above, The View is a prime location. They have a hotel, plus the campground which has tent, RV spots and rim lot cabins.

Enjoy your trip!
