I am responded to the owner who submitted a response through tripadvisor about my 1 star review. We were not in the restaurant on Fathers Day. The review posted on June 20 is around fathers day, but that does not mean we were there that day. The posted date is the day the review was written, not necessarily the day we visited. We visited the restaurant on a Tuesday or Wednesday to get a pizza (to try and get one). My 1 star is for 2 reasons. first, the line was not going anywhere and asking the guy to put in a plain cheese when he had a chance is not unreasonable given all the signage (very tacky) asking for tips. For good service, yes I would gladly tip. But after he says he has to get the orders in front of him (which he didn't get), and then leaves through the back/side door, that is definitely worth 1 star and an exit by us to somewhere nearby. I have written 56 reviews on tripadvisor and you are only my 4th to get 1 star... and worthy of it. I have given 17 five star ratings and lots of four stars.

I agree....not sure of the question, but when I go back and read your original review, please explain why you feel your order was more important than the people who were ordering in front of you? I would have been upset if the cook put in your pizza first if you were at the end of the line, especially if I was at the beginning of the line still waiting to put in my order. So, I'm agreeing with what they did. I'm sure that I must be missing something here.

I am a local and just wanted to respond to your comment about the employee leaving out the side door. The business also owns the restaurant right next door. Back door to side door is 20'. They share freezer/cooler/storage/supply space and go back and forth all day long.

I am not sure what you are asking me. However, in defense of the person working there who "left through a side door", my bet is that s/he was going to get ingredients at the restaurant next door.

The others in front all appeared to be holding and ordering ice cream. The cook was making pizza right on front of me which is what promoted me to ask for him to make us one. If my order was long, then obviously it would not be easy to quickly communicate what we wanted. But when the line is not moving (why i don't know) and all you have to say is, "hi, can you start a plain cheese for us," then as I said about times now thats not unreasonable, particularly when you have all the hand make signs talking about tipping for great service. We did not leave when he said no. But we did leave when he turns and walks out the back with a line in front of him.
