There are many museums in the University Circle area (Cleveland Museum of Art, The Natural History Museum, The Botanical Gardens, The Historical Museum, Museum Of Contemporary Art). There is also Severance Hall where the Cleveland Orchestra performs. Other types of entertainment are available like The Corner Alley bowling. Restaurants abound and will satisfy any taste and price range.
The Cleveland Museum of Art is open everyday but Monday. Go hungry they have a wonderful cafe and restaurant. If you can try to book tickets at Severence hall and at cleveland playhouse now part of playhouse square. Cleveland institute of music has wonderful concerts in the winter Lots of great deals and rush tickets available Great ethnic restaurants all over Cleveland but if you go to playhouse square I recommend Cowel and Hubbards
The Museum of Art and the Crawford would be my first two choices. Both can be done in one day.
Have not been there in the winter, but the Circle is filled wirh museums for daytime and Little Italy (close by) has some good restaurants for the evening.
Any museum is worthwhile for day in town.
Do art museum, botanical, nat history, check out the new uptown area and moca!
For current activities, search University Circle Inc. events -
there is an ice skating rink if it's cold enough like now!
All of the museums - Art, Natural History, Crawford Auto Aviation, Cle Botanical Gardens - the Gardens has a smallish Costa Rican habitat... look the various museums up to see what special exhibits they may have going. Most have attached parking garages. Have fun!
