Actually, I just called WCWLodge to make arrangements for our "smaller types" - Cesky terriers - and was told that there is a policy of NO PETS.
Based on the above answer, I had thought that it would be possible to discuss an appropriate arrangement with the Lodge, as we will be driving across the country from Ottawa to the west coast with our dogs to attend a wedding there. The dogs are small, hypoallergenic and well behaved.
Not only was there a blanket policy of NO PETS, but there was no attempt to offer assistance in finding an appropriate kennel. I was told to look on the web, but anyone who has taken their pet to a kennel knows there is a huge difference between the quality of care at different kennels.
As you can see, I am not impressed. At very least, if the policy with respect to pets has changed, the Lodge should correct the above answer. We want to stay with the wedding party, but may have to cancel our reservation to find a more appropriate and accommodating place to stay.
Get an answer from West Coast Wilderness Lodge staff and past guests.
