Is it kid friendly? We are visiting for my birthday and I have a 7 and 9 yr old.
I agree with the other respondents. Unless your children are exceptionally well-behaved, I think it would be better for adults only. They are likely to become bored, and therefore fidgety. Letting them amuse themselves with electronics would not be fair to the other diners.
I saw a couple of older well behaved children one time, probably age range 12-16 years old. Other than that, I've only seen adults.
I concur with the prior responses. Bistro Roca would be a better choice.
I think not. The meals are elegant and lengthy, the view is what is to be appreciated, and diners do not come expecting to hear children if they are not very well behaved. Bistro Roca is a bit rowdier, w/ a larger variety of selections that are perhaps more child friendly, and there are lots of families dining if you go earlier.
Not so much but if you make early reservations I am sure they would accommodate you. They are such nice people.
I agree with prior responses. This is a fantastic restaurant; however, the kids would do better at Bistro Roca.
This is my favorite in Blowing Rock, but if we had children with us, I think I'd eat at my 2nd favorite..."Bistro Roca". Bistro Roca is also fantastic, but I think you'd be more relaxed with the children.
It is resort that welcomes kids but has mostly adults on the property.
I saw one family with children in the restaurant the night we had dinner there (the children were very well behaved). It is a fine dining restaurant, so I would recommend that you consider how your children might respond to the elegance, leisurely pace, etc.
