Is swimming with the sharks/rays suitable for kids aged 9 and 12? If so, do you provide child sized wetsuits. We are looking to visit early July.
Yes we had kids on our Whale Shark trip .. from about 5 years to 10 years and they were OK but not great swimmers and no issues at all as the parents were with them and the 3 Island Staff are both careful and in the water ... also only problems with the kids is that they hogged the photographer to get photos ..thought they were on land talking selfies... only kidding on the “ problem” as great to see kids experiencing as they will grow to be the next set of planet protectors.
And the water is very warm so wetsuits won't be necessary
Yeah very suitable it will be an unforgettable experience and there were children of all ages on our tour with wetsuits supplied call them to be 100% sure
Definitely take them even if they cant keep up with the whale sharks just seeing them is an experience of a lifetime and the rubber duckie can pick them up and drop them to the group they will love the lagoon and they have small wetsuits but you wont need them water is warm and they have pool noodles and staff watch everyone in the water have fun
We took kids aged 6, 8 and 10 and they were fine and loved it. 3 Islands provided suits for the kids, snorkel gear and noodles to assist the kids. The staff were amazing and took the kids away from us to ensure we got to spend quality time in the water on the snorkel reefs and with the whale sharks.
I recommend you take them, an experience they will never forget.
I believe they have all sizes of wet suits available. It's an amazing experience for kids as long as they are confident swimmers. The crew are very conscientious and safety oriented.
Yeh kids will be fine as long as they are confident in open water. There are kid sized wetsuits and there is floating noodles they can use too! It is an amazing experience!
There were young kids aged around 8 and 10 on my tour. They had kid sized wetsuits and the kids seemed fine. They were probably fitter and better swimmers than me
Suitable if the kids are good swimmers for the whale sharks but will be fine snorkelling in the lagoon. Wet suits are provided but not sure how small they go down too. The crew on the boats are excellent.
