DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newark Airport Questions & Answers

Orlando, Florida

We are coming to New York and only thinking of using our Hilton points for one night stay. 2 adults getting there late and straight to airport next day. Is it clean and worth my 20,000 points??? Thank you!

This is a really easy place to get to from Newark airport if flying in and then back out. The hotel shuttle will pick up and drop you off at the monorail drop off point which runs from the airport. They run every half hour (or close to it). Lots of warm cookies when you check in-you may have to ask but your staff will be friendly and the room clean. They have a bar but the food is rather pricey for what you get, and there are no other places close by you could walk to eat so grab some real food in the airport if anything is still open.Since you are a Hilton Honors member you have access to your own coffee/snack bar at the Hotel. I didn't notice any plane noise so you should sleep well so use your points. If you have any problems they'll fix them fast.

I found hotel to be clean - had an ac drip in room but complained and was moved- it's not New York City , but the hotel is very nice and the staff will take care of you.

It's literally the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Pampering for the adults and pampering for the kiddos. I suggest, however, you use your points for a prolonged stay, as to enjoy the hotel better. Really a shame to use the points and only be at the hotel for a half of a day.
