Does this hotel require a deposit upon check-in? If so, how much is it? Or do they just ask for a valid card to swipe and have on file without charging any deposit? Thank you..
I'm a Hyatt member, so my experience might be a bit different.
When making a reservation, a credit card number is required. There is no charge unless you do not show up or fail to cancel before the required date.
At check-in, a deposit of $50 is usually charged to the card immediately for any room sundries you may use during your stay. If you use none, then the $50 is credited against the total when you check out.
If there are questions regarding how a specific property handles charges, it's best to call them directly, not the corporate number, before committing.
No, all you have to do is have them swipe your credit card.
They just use a credit card on file, no deposit.
The hotel does request the usual valid credit card upon check in. We made a reservation online that didn't require prepayment so the credit card we submitted was for the whole stay and incidentals (restaurant, mini-mart behind the counter, etc.) The card isn't charged until check out.
