Hi there, Were you able to do a Architecture Boat tour in the winter ( Jan/Feb) ? If so what company did you do this with ?
Hello! We do not offer river cruises during January and February because the boats are removed from the river for the winter. This year, our season runs from April 1–November 19, 2017. Thank you!
Not in the winter- as the river tours aren't running. But the rest of the year the Architecture Foundation is the boat tour to take. The others I've tried are more silly entertainment than informative.
I took the tour in September and the weather was perfect. It looks like they offer tours based on the weather through the winter months. See a sightseeing tour website.
No, I didn't see any boat tours so I really doubt they are offered in the winter. I went on a tour sponsored be the Chicago Architect's Association of historical skyscrapers.
Not the winter months that I know of. The web site should tell you definitively. I did my tour with the Architecture Foundation - and then click on tours.
I didn't do a boat tour, but you could call the Chicago Architecture Foundation and see if they offer them during those months.
I have never taken the tour during the winter months. In fact, I am not sure the companies operate then. The point of the tour is to examine the different styles of architecture and learn the history of many of the buildings. In order to fully appreciate the information you need to have full view and to look up! Even if the boat is covered and heated, it would be a poor imitation of the summer tour. I would look to many of the other activities that Chicago has to offer. This will give you an excuse to return!
