Is tubing recommended for someone who is overweight? What about someone who has a bad knee? Trying to decide if tubing the river or doing the waterpark make more sense for us. THANKS!
If you pay for the waterpark from my understanding the tubing is included! I would definitely purchase a stick to help with those tricky shallow spots. I saw people of all shapes, ages, and sizes! It's inevitable you'll get stuck, everyone does, its kind of part of the fun!
I am overweight and have a bad knee. Went the last 2 years. My advice, wear sneakers with a good tread. There will be times you have to get out of the tube. I found it was easier to lay on my stomach on the tube while riding. One thing to be careful of, make sure to put sunscreen on the back of your legs, if doing that. First year, I get burnt really bad on the back of my legs.
I would think weight is not an issue. I witnessed many sizes and shapes tubing along with us. I would suggest calling the water park and tubing if you have any worries or fears. :)
I don't know about the water park portion . The tubing part is on a shallow river. Sometimes you may have to get up and to get "unstuck" as you may drift up against some rocks. But the water is only a foot or 2 deep.
